  • HASTA EL TITULO TIENE TELA...........CUANTOS DESEOS EN TAN POCAS PALABRAS..........PRECIOSA VOZ.....AUN OYENDOSE DE MANERA TAN PRECARIA.......ES COMO...UNA LOCURA D ENOTAS ...LLENAS DE SENTIMIENTOS......INDESTRUCTIBLES...............

  • I loved when Rudy Vallee played the doctor in the movie, "I Remember Mama".

  • Thanks for the performance you gave to only me and a producer at your home in 1978. Google Margie Bang

  • Rudy Vallee, The first singing superstar with the coming of Radio.

  • A true classic!

  • Wonderful back-beat on the banjo. Super music, now but a memory.

  • 1930 would have been a great time to be alive IF one had plenty of money and drove a Deusenberg Dual Cowl Phaeton.

  • i agree but i want to drive a Cord ROGHARM

  • I certainly couldn't complain about having a Cord. Mr. E. L. Cord was surely an innovator who once controlled Auburn, Cord, Lycoming engines and Deusenberg among other entities. I should have been more specific about the Deusenberg I'd like. The 1928/29 Dual Cowl Phaeton. Unfortunately I drive a Ford F-150. lol

  • My definition of music is an aesthetic combination of: rhythm, melody, harmony; and some times, silence. These elements were understood by the populace, hence "Popular Music," later shortened to "Pop". However, as the understanding of what constitutes music faded from the public consciousness, the noise of techno-barbarism has taken its place. This selection is not "great music", but it is a reminder of what music is. This makes the materialistic technocrats uncomfortable.

  • Thank you for sharing this - and other Rudy Vallee treasures. I really appreciate your contributions to YT.

  • Thank You.

I'm 18 years old, and my mom frequently tells me to turn down my music, pretty funny considering it's mostly Rudy or Gene Austin.

  • That is funny! I LOVE this music!! So classic!!

  • @offwiththehats You're a kid after my own heart.

  • One of my favorites. Love it and thanks.

  • i love this song!

  • Thanks...........always was one of my favorites.

  • Thanks Boston! Rudy was certainly one of the greatest entertainers New England has produced.

Love the detective you take your posting name from, "an enemy to those who make him an enemy, friend to those who have no friend."

    Best regards,

  • You really keep your word. :) Must be a Vermont trait.

I love this, I feel as if I am a teenager listening to one of those old fashioned radios and dreaming about my future. I wonder, how many teenagers and young ladies were in love with Rudy's voice?

    Thank you RR.

  • Thanks so very much, genia...it's my pleasure and privilege to share these Vallee recordings with a new generation of YouTube aficionados.

His charisma once captured millions of Americans every broadcast...mostly girls and ladies--but even the guys admired his style and humor.

    Here's to Rudy's new fans! ;)
