Hi there i am Hy Lit's grandson and i justed wanted to thank you all for your thoughtful comments and kind words about a wonderful and very special grandfather. If anybody has anything (any memorobilia) please as to be so kind as to email me. And can you please set people straight that his name was NEVER Hyman Litsky its was just Hyman A. Lit born in South Philly with three grandchildrean and an older sister a daughter and a son.
Growing up in Philly was a blessing because there was so much on-air talent in the 1960's. We've had Dick Clark, The Geator with the Heater, Georgie Woods, Ed Hurst, The Rockin' Bird Joe Niagra, Dave Hermann, Harvey Holiday etc...BUT the hippest of them all was Hy Lit! His TV show featured live acts, cool dancers and very cool music promo videos. Hy Lit predated MTV. Truly a class act! RIP Hyski.
