  • I use to go to that school when i lived in brooklyn how are you jennifer have you talked to william recently? I would like to know how gabreella and domonik are doing?

  • Overall I'm impressed w/the demo. I have to agree that the turn in the gun to head scenario ("appears" from the angle it is shot) as though you are merely turning around to face the opponent, not to get out of the line of sight of the gun. It looks like the gun sight went from the back of your head to being pointed at your face/forehead, the spin was very slow for that type of defense. I am 1st Dan in TKD, testing for 1st Dan in Hapkido & an instructor in Hapkido (assist the Masters)

  • too slow, fat ass and heavy for hapkido woman

  • Is there a difference between combat hapkido and just plain hapkido? If yes can someone tell me?

  • Ignore these assholes they don't know what they are talking about. I'm a first dan black belt in hapkido and I've seen shitty demos before. Your demo is very good

  • @0:37 good circular motion technique

  • i am taekwondo 3rd Dan (KKW) and Hapkido 2nd Dan (KHF). Your turning kick is not good. If you kick like that there is no power and slow. Also, you can get defended by the opponents very easily.

Try to move faster and please practice your turning kick.

  • this is only women,i don't training martial arts and i will kick her ass very easy.

  • You suck.

    No offense.

  • not including the gun part great demo to promote your art. i have seen others and they were too flashy. they were filled with stunts and turned me off from the art..

  • I think shes trying to show the form clearly, more than speed

  • Wow great job! Ur really good!

  • love you

  • no the best demo i have seen i mean some of tht stuff was very slow need to speed it up!!

  • lol, the way she was wielding that cane, i thought it was a chain whip at first.

  • u would have ben shot before u could get the gun away kid

  • a dangerous chick

  • get a heavier punching bag

  • @ModernizedPirate

    What like you? :P

  • @cobwebduster cute

  • great demonstracion...she's really awesome

  • they are do it slow you can see it

  • Awesome demonstration Jennifer (Business As Usual) !! Your techniques are crisp and sharp, Osu !!!!

  • This is a great demonstration of Hapkido! Great job!

  • Good demo but I think that gun-to-head scenario is laughable. That counter took way too much time and was took way too long to disarm. Don't understand why she wouldn't go right for the gun instead of a flashy, unnecessary extra turn. Try being too flashy in real life in that scenario and you probably won't walk away with your life. That part of the demo I feel is a terrible example.

  • the turn is to get out of the line of attack of the gun, it's hard to see in this low quality video but the turn is a tight spin off to the side of the weapon so that they are not in the line of attack

  • Ah, yes I see it a little easier now that you mention it. Thanks for the clarification.

  • @StreetsOfSonic who cares what you feel

  • @Brady2k10

Anyone who has common sense? Gun is to your head, you turn to your right... obviously your right hand is closer to the gun than your left. Who said anything about what I "feel?" I'm merely pointing out a fact.

Unless you'd rather be dead, I'd say you should care.

  • @StreetsOfSonic well i dont care better call the care police and no i wont be dead, because im too good

  • @Brady2k10

Wow, you're either trolling or you're a total idiot and you definitely don't sound like a fluent martial artist.

    A gun > you, buddy.

  • @StreetsOfSonic me > a gun > a bullet > you

  • @Brady2k10

So you're like a real-life version of a Stephen Seagul movie living in a fantasy world where no one knows how to shoot a gun? Wow, that's cool.

No, seriously... idiot or troll? I'm really curious to know.

  • @StreetsOfSonic you're curious to know? well i wasnt gonna tell you but im BOTH! :O i know take some time to get over your shock

  • @StreetsOfSonic

The turn and disarm is perfect but the trow is the trouble thats where you would get shot. I learn hapkido in seoul S Korea and these techniques are all knife based!

  • @countsmyth

How is doing a 360 degree turn (180 degrees more than what was necessary) while not even moving out of the gun's path "perfect?"

  • @StreetsOfSonic

READ my comment, the turn is perfect (arm is locked and gun pointing out of the way) It's the following back trow that is the problem. Sorry for questioning you Chuck Norris!

  • @countsmyth

The turn is perfect? In what way? Being flashy? How does spinning in a 360 standing turn have a technique to it and what does it matter if it's a turn that's going to almost certainly get you killed? Her head stays in front of the gun and even if it didn't it would take too much time.

You don't have to be Chuck Norris to see all this.

  • @StreetsOfSonic

It's not being flashy, this is hapkido not krav maga this the style!

  • Is this hapkido or karate? The reason why I want to know is because you are using one pair of sai. Sai are a japanese weapon. But anyway cool video.

  • this is Hapkido. and the reason it prodominately uses Japanese wepondry is because the historic lines disgunishing the line between japanese and korean historic orgins are too thin. the creator lived in japan for nearly 30 years learning Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu (some say from the man who invented it Sokaku Takeda) anyway he later returned to His Home land of Korea and combined the art with various traditional Korean martial arts.

  • Wonderful!

  • Awesome technique!

  • This is a great demo of hapkido keep up the good work jenn
