  • TD is great...I dug this demo so thanks for posting...I had a dude demo it for me using the analog version and he described it as "embossing" a snare or kick for prominence in the mix. It's also super nice to hear it in a mix context too..that's where I noticed it's power the most.

  • @Auxend cool man thanks for the comment.

  • YEH I LOVE THA TRANSIENT DESIGNER I USE IT ON MY INSTRUMENTS AND DRUMS...BUT I NOTICE ALOT OF PEOPLE ALWAYS TALK ABOUT WAVES PLUGINS IS OVER RATED FLUX PLUGINS HAS BETTER STUFF

  • @CRAZYBOY1984777 no doubt, yeah I don't have any waves plugins so who knows, I know they got some good stuff, but like with anything it's all about preference.

  • @SoundsAndGear YEH I FIND MYSELF USING FLUX MORE CUZ WAVES SEEM TO USE MORE CPU HMMM

  • @CRAZYBOY1984777 cool man, if they work for you then use it, no matter what others say, go with what you like!

  • what a sick plugin! :D

  • @PURODESMADR3 thanks for watching

  • How does this stack up to BBE sonic maximizer plugin? Are they the same type of plug?!

  • @prettdboy totally different concepts, sonic maximizer is an overall "exciter" so to speak, this deal directly with the sustain and attack of instruments/sounds

  • nice heads up on that Urban Fire Reviewi downloaded the demo and now i gotta cop the whole library thanks joe!!!! my wife going to kill ya bra!!!! lol!!!!

  • @mixman29 ahahahaha, no doubt fam lol

  • dang i checked out that TransMod too looks good hmmmm....

  • @AudioCzar yeah looks good, not cheaper but looks dope!

  • @SoundsAndGear That's another good one. They actually compliment. I'm not sure if you played with it yet, but the TransMod is closer to TransX, which you probably already have. I prefer the TransMod and SPL one though (I actually have the UAD-2 version, but they're the same). I never really use TransX, even though I got it in a bundle. I don't like it much, from brief use. Ever try it?

  • @TheExplodingBit never tried transx personally, I don't have many fx plugins actually, I'm really picking and don't like to have a lot of the same thing, but I'm interested in the transmod now lol.

  • @SoundsAndGear Sorry, I assumed you may have it, because you mentioned Waves. If you have either or both the SPL and TransMod you pretty much have all basis covered though. The great timing of one and the surgical features of the other. Even one of those will do the trick. Cheers.

  • @TheExplodingBit nope, its all good though, appreciate the input man, gives me stuff to look for.

  • Sonnox TransMod is way better.

  • @riskzerobeatz oh word? Gonna have to check it out, is it based on the same concept?

  • @SoundsAndGear Yup.The same concept in shaping transient but you get more control over the process and some extra effects like tube saturation like coloration of the sound. Moreover it has a built-in limiter so you won't clip your channel.

  • @riskzerobeatz thanks bro! I just went to the site, it's cheaper too, will definitely be trying the demo, good looking out fam!

  • @SoundsAndGear Was glad to help. Cheers :)

  • @riskzerobeatz on the site now man :)

  • Transient designers are some of my favorite effects on drums. Try it on overheads, dial back the attack and bump up the sustain, you can give a really cool flavor to the natural reverb and room sound of the drums.

  • @MarkSmithMusic awesome man, thanks for the tip!

  • seems good , in order to set the color of the sounds in there

  • @atk86me thanks for checking it out

  • nice one joe, love all your videos

  • @lastninja64 thanks for the support, I appreciate it!

  • I've had this plugin for a while...yeah its tight, very effective...love when you do reviews like this...we are blessed to have ur insight...oh yea brah...Man! you put me on to the tightest drum kit ever!!!! Urban Fire..just got it yesterday! Omg!! nothin like it...Thanx StJoe..Peace

  • @Kay79andPeachez79 no doubt fam, I'm late on this one lol, I'm not a big fx plugin person, I look for simple and effective ones. Yes UF is dope, I love how you can layer them together and they still sound tight, really nice toolkit for drums and not just a drum kit in my opinion, really let's you get into crafting new sounds if you want. Thanks for checking the vids man, I appreciate the support.

  • If you run Maschine as a plug-in inside itself, stand-alone, I wonder if you'll open a portal to another dimension or something. LOL. Joking. SPL makes very nice hardware. I really dig their stuff, both hardware and software. I've never heard of this jBridge you're using. I see that it's a bit bridge though. Man, I'm behind. I haven't even really played with 1.6 much yet.

  • @TheExplodingBit lol, well you can't run Maschine in itself, I think the world would explode lol, nah but jbridge let's me use 32 bit plugins in a 64 bit host, I don't have many, but a few I still use so it comes in handy.

  • @SoundsAndGear OK. That's what I assumed. A bit of oversight by NI then. Hopefully they will build a bit bridge directly into Maschine in the future though, like Logic or Sonar has.

  • @TheExplodingBit I think it was a decision they chose to go with. Many native bit bridges are shaky or use jbridge :) Guess they figured it would be less headaches by not including a bit bridge.

  • @SoundsAndGear True. The built in ones in Logic and Vienna Ensemble Pro are really stable though, in my experience. I guess they figured if you can buy plug-ins you should be able to buy a third-party bit bridge/wrapper. At least it appears the jBridge one is fairly inexpensive, for Win users though. :)

  • @TheExplodingBit well who knows, it would have been better to have one built in but I guess this update was such a big one they wanted to make sure it worked stable, etc. Not sure if they will do one or not though, seems everything is moving 64 bit anyway.

  • @SoundsAndGear Yep. At this point the only 32bit plug-ins I have are processors and effects. Most virtual instruments are 64bit by now. PT and Live still aren't 64bit yet either, but it's inevitable.

  • @TheExplodingBit yeah, just a few things left I would imagine live and pt will go 64 bit soon, still waiting on waves too, but overall many are there.

  • I've been had this is the best trans

  • @AudioCzar indeed
