Hi, I'm A Media Studies Student At a College And I Would Appreciate It Very Much If You Took Quick Look at My Teaser Trailer For My New Up Coming Movie... !!
We first saw this 10.30.82 at a midnight show downtown. A prominent NY ctritic hitherto its release called it the "sickest movie ever made".
Hardly so, but what I remember most about it: is that I began recognizing some of the actors and the friends I was with thought I was cracking up or fooling. Not so- those actors and I were classmates six years earlier at drama school in Manhattan.
While not a fan of horror or carnal gore, I found this to be in general, goofy, satirical fun.
I wrote at another site that I attended, but fell asleep on Alfred Hitchcock's "Psycho" at a drive-in theatre when it first appeared in 1960. At that age I was too young anyway. For years it was considered the scariest movie ever made. I think there's a difference between frightening and just "disturbing" or "unhealthy" movie content.
But to me, "Psycho" and "Repulsion" are still effective.
This may sound silly, but one film that really terrified me was "The Blair Witch Project".
@Neptunesque Cool. Finally, someone who admits that Blair Witch was more than just a cheap internet gimmick. Scary, yes. Maybe not the scariest of all time (and certainly maybe a bit over-hyped, but dammit, give credit where credit is due). This movie was frightening.
Thank you for both comments: I was really hoping to see the original "Psycho" theatrically revived for its 50th. Anniversary and given the dignity of being shown with no trailers. But since that date (June 17) has come and gone, it looks like it won't play the movie circuits.
The actors I referred to in "Basket Case" were the vet, the irate patient complaining about the side effects of the medication she was prescribed and Dwayne's protective aunt.
@davidmichaelbruce As do I, but I bought the DVD some time ago, as I loved the horror genre since 2002 after my grandma introduced me to Evil Dead. But still, Belial is one ugly and ruthless brother.

@Neptunesque I have to agree, I find this movie rather funny, but still kinda scary in a cheesy way.

I agree. B Rated movies were awesome and deemed so popular, since the advent of VHS tapes

I saw first this in the early 80s.
Uwe Boll could learn a lot from movies like this one.
A classic B-movie.
