all in all, a good quality system. i have 3 yamaha pm-1800 in my hire stock, but i guess my favourite console i have at the moment is the Soundcraft Vi6! its worth investing in!
That one's for the subs. It's good. We've been using it for 5 years or so. The first two years we did a complete setup and tear down every weekend, load everything into a trailer, and store it during the week. Sort of a "Church in a Box". The system has taken a beating, and the only thing wrong with the board is a dead bus, and one channel that somehow "bleeds" into the buses.
Not the best my butt. I have a Yamaha pm-1800 I would put up against any analog console because I can actually get my hand on the mix without 40 minutes of tweaking.....
I can EQ an entire band in 10-15 minutes. Even if I had presets, I would still fine tune, The variables of the room are always changing. Heat, cold, humidity, dry air, barometric pressure, size of crowd, change from day to day, especially in Alaska, and that effect how certain frequencies travel. Even weather or not people are wearing coats or not can effect the sound. If I could run 100+ dB or so, It would be easier, but it IS church. I try to run around 90dB 20 feet from the stage.
