  • what was that brief change in noise @ 6000 rpms?

  • 0-60 of around 5 seconds or a little higher..thats deffinatly pretty fast, nice car, hopefully getting one of these soon but looking for an 05

  • 4100 rpm vtec does not make any gains... vtec keeps your power gain up throughout the power band at high rpms. Cars lose power at around 5-7rpm thats why Honda implemented vtec around those rpms. I don't see any use for setting vtec at such low rpms, but maybe a gain in torque in drag races hahaha... but the k series is so limited by its ecu.

  • I agree. The vtec is already optimized. Why would you move it.

  • stock is 5800 rpms...pratically 6k...your only near that rpm in 1st gear. 4.1k is useless and much more wear on your motor.

  • its nice to hear that vtac dig

  • i feel like ive been seeing things like "ill just reflash the ecu" all over the internet. this is not the ideal way to go. while yes, you will see some increases, it has nothing on a dyno tune. save your money folks, just go straight to the dyno

  • How does the exedy stage 2 clutch feel over the stock?

  • @tom9665 ive heard its very similar. maybe a little stiffer

  • how much power you putting to the wheels?

  • I counted 0-80 in 8 seconds....pretty awesome!

  • Stock Vtec engagement for the k20a2 is 5800rpms.

  • thats mph who ever said that was slow is a douche

  • yeah for a small little 2.0 it is actually

  • it took almost 10 sec to get to 80. thats fast?

  • Well yeah dumbass it's not like its a big engine...It's a 2.0L i4 with a few mods don't expect it to be extremely fast...but for that engine *8 seconds* is a pretty good time for 0-80.

  • I drive an '08 Si (same engine) that is stock. I really like how you changed the VTEC engagement to 4.1k. Your car sounds less bipolar and more serious. If I end up adding a single mod to my car, it would be the Hondata Flashpro (similar in effect to the K-Pro for RSX) to lower VTEC so that I can enjoy more of the powerband than just 6-8k. (Although, 6-8k sure is sweet)

  • dude thats quick, tasteful mods, i like the extra 2k rpm of vtech, smart

  • Put on ur seatbelt son lol.. jk

    Looks good

  • that was pretty quick

  • keep thinking you know what the fuck your talking about.

  • lol, the funny thing is i do...so mid your own business

  • The funny thing is you don't.

  • seems to pick up quit quick what cam u running?

  • dude i think my 95 4 door teggy could keep up if not beat this rsx.

  • my friend had a type s for a while...and let me tell u ..those things haul serious...i mean SERIOUS..ass!

  • wear your seat belt dummy

  • I don't see why it would not be efficient at 4100, its fuckin perfect

  • but vtec doesn't do anything to boost your car's performance, but just to keep the power band from dropping at high Rpm's am I not correct. setting it at a lower rpm would not do anything.

  • Setting it lower means it engages faster. VTEC allows more air in because the valve is kept open for longer, which means more power.

  • yeah, more power to keep the Horse Power from dropping at high RPM's.

  • power is horse power....

  • ok... you know i'm right though.

  • no your not.

  • o.k not bad..

  • that shit is pretty gnarley

  • what kind of #'s are u putting down?

  • Good tune... But it defeats the purpose of the "honda dream" so to speak... Yeah v-tec engages earlier but you wont get good gas milage now I would reccommend bringing the v-tec engagment to 4800 - 4900 RPM's and if you want to stay in v-tec then keep it reved higher... So you can get the best of both worlds fast car and good gas saving car Is fast as shit tho gj with that!!! =]
  • you would shift before 4100rpms for normal driving wouldnt you? lol actually i would be very tempted not to shift with vtec kicking in that low...

    there goes gas milage! lmao

  • what did you tune it on?

  • y would u put vtec engagement at 4100???? its best at 6000-6500

  • 6000 is too high, stock is 5400 4100 gave the best gains for that set up.

  • hey were did u get ur vtec engagement and did u install it by urself???

  • first you have to get to know her

  • @Questionssm stock 6 grand

  • @Questionssm stock is 5800

  • @Questionssm plus it gives it a much broader power band. wen vtec is set higher, its not pulling as much as if you u were pulling it in sooner so its much more helpful to keep it lower, but there is one question. how did u get it so low. i k wit a supercharger u can get it down to 4200 ish but ur N/A

  • @adunn225 the object to tuning is to get the most power under the curve not peak numbers. a good tune will put more area under the tq curve which is why the vtec is set so low. this is usable unlike peak hp numbers which are nothing more then bragging rights. its a very nice set up and is clearly much faster then stock so id say he is heading in the right direction.

  • woops i meant to say between 5000-5500

  • @e32amgfinatic stock is 5800

  • Your moms slow in bed.

  • @jdmfreak1992 : wow fuck you. Questionssm is my brother, so we have the same mother so shut the fuck up

  • fast!!!

  • 4.5 0-60

  • vtack just kicked in yo! nice pull dude. im surprised thats with cams and stuff; doesnt vtec rev right up to the redline quicker at about 4K stock tho?

  • Put ur seatbelt on!!! lol I'm JK , love it when Vtec kicks in

  • pretty dam fast, what kinda car

  • It says 2002 rsx. . .anywho, not bad. Looks about like what my ls/vtec is doing right now :] gives me a hard on every time that solenoid engages. :D

  • needs more jiggawatts

  • do you have a cat back?

  • About a 6 second 0-60 there...I can't believe how short 1st is though...8k and only 40?

  • That's how it's gotta go when you have NO TORQUE. (and don't flame...I have an '03 RSX-S)

  • no reason to flame u, ur right, he prob only has about 140-145 TQ....(dont flame me i had 03)

  • haha, man thats like 75-80km, not that short

  • you can do 63 kph with stock 8300 rpm limiter. i know got one sitting in my front yard. dont know with k pro though

  • how much whp did u make?

  • dammmn nice, how much does it cost to tune, u dont have a turbo right?
