I am a little disappointed in the recording itself.

It's too.... I dunno... If it were a video issue I would say that it was over-driven and caused the picture to bloom.

I think the right term here is that the levels are off. You can tell how good her voice is, but it's coming out "over-cooked", and I have watched enough of these videos to know sh sounds MUCH better than that.

if you have the cash to buy that 5000 dollar condenser mic that is picking up your voice (very nice btw), why arent you mic'ing your guitar with a condenser of similar quality in the body and on the fret board instead of just the overhead you have set up?

@zkarp LOL. ;) Well........ It's not an expensive mic. It sounds good because it was built using the specs off another more expensive mic. It's been a good mic for me and picks up both the guitar and vocals here. I have a pretty simple recording set up and really don't know what the heck I'm doing as far as sound engineer work goes. ;) I have a mic I could fret board for the guitar but my Martin guitars are pretty loud and and tend to over power my vocals quickly if I don't watch it.
