  • As a hawaiian i dislike the US for overthrowing my queen long ago. Nd now i know about how the spanish treated filipinos like shit makes me mad. Why are white pple such selfish idiots. They're all manyaks if yuu ask me.

Nd yes im filipino. 4'th generation mixed flip from hawaii.

    Batalona bloodline boii;)

  • @hawaiian96chence Don't stoop into what a lot of our colonizers thought of us, not all white people are bad, just like not us in the far east are perfect people either. What about the people in great Britain, like Ireland, Scortland, Wales, from what I know, they did nothing to upset the rest of the world :P can't say the same for england however... But my point being, we cannot judge the people based on one or several of their idiots alone.

  • @ThtOnePinoy LOOOL homie do you go to every pinoy vid?? =P

  • @hawaiian96chence Haha do you? lol, no I was looking in my comments inbox and saw one to this video, but had forgotten I already replied to it xD don't even remember.

  • @ThtOnePinoy lol no =P yo dawgg stay off the crack loool jk. so hey are yuu 100% flip??

  • @hawaiian96chence pretty much, yes both my parents are, with the additional small mixes I told you about already.

  • @lunarosol3rd He at first saw that, but he soon dropped that thought when it was apparent that the need for freedom was far more greater.

  • @MrCorocotta I can't ven read 'em haha.

This is really confusing! Can someone tell me what it is about? in clear english!

  • The reason why Filipinos hate their possibly Spanish heritage goes far back for the United States Of America. Back when the USA was the Thirteen Colonies of Great Britain,England had old..ancient hate of Spain..this hate was transplanted to America..and how America thinks all Latin countries and culture..are inferior to itself.

  • @TheShadowParliament Actually, that hate comes from their barbaric invasion of our ancestors and the colonial mentality taint that they brought with them, I mean, wouldn't you be mad if your ancestors were pittied against one another? And that your culture has been downgraded from what it was once back then?

  • So... Jose Rizal must be the teacher of the Spanish..

  • Hi guys,

There is a racist pig, by username WWPSdvia who is posting things like:

"Filipinos are literally good for nothing" and they should be busted out of Europe.

He also says that Filipinos are an inferior race.

I enlightened him by pointing out what a low-life he is and he proved my point by calling his racist maggots and marking my replies as SPAM.

I just thought I should let you know in case you want to thumb down his racist comments.

The video is "Filipinos of Spanish descent"

    Thanks

  • im so glad there's no spanish or english in correct tagalog but only LOAN words.

and that there's only 2-3% of philippines population with ANY spanish blood.

    20-25% chinese

    1% other

    the rest southeast asian blood

  • @yanina143 Those studies are false they only take a small sample and proclaim that Spanish ancestry is less I have heard that argument many times, the truth is the Filipinos have much larger percentage of European ancestry. Having mixed blood does not make you any less or any better but it does reflect your history, embrace it.

  • @rosadobigd Oh and I dont want to embrace something that is shit when I know I am a descendant of the people of the luzon empire. So fuck off with your stupid colonial mentality.

  • @ThtOnePinoy colonial mentality? its your history dumbass, your nationalistic view doesn't portray your whole history, the luzon empire was a small empire that didnt cover all of luzon it doensnt represent all the Filipinos just like Tagalog doesnt represent the native langauge of the other filipinos.

  • @rosadobigd No shit, but me being a kapampangan, they're my ancestors. Regardless, there are many things to be proud of if you are a bisayan with your ancestors, they kept a lot of their culture and their language, tagalog has or had many loan words from bisayan language from what I read, and even mindanao, they're the ones who apparently are the ones who mostly kept their culture intact. Colonial mentality is not something to be proud of.

  • Those Filipinos who are ashamed of their Spanish heritage are the best example of the brutal American propaganda. They not only took possession of their country or put puppet governments, but also forced them to renounce to their past. The founding fathers spoke Spanish. How many Filipinos could now read their original writings?

  • did you mean the alibata system?? I think only few Filipinos nowadays can speak or understand it.

  • I referred to the first filipino Constitution or the books by Rizal, they are written in spanish.

  • @MrCorocotta Amen

  • although there talk about you hispanic heritage, you still choose to comunicate your feeling in english not spanish,

porque no comienza con la lengua espanola

  • if spain didnt give any technology,

pinoy would be beggars even now.

  • you spell filipiniana with pi-la-pi-na-a-na. please know and study baybayin your doubling insult in us!

  • @niyabyab hahaha the malay race does not exist it was a termed made up by some European the filipinos are austronesians this is true but just like every race more mixed than most people think, the reason why filipinos look different than other asians and the reason why your better is because you also have some spanish mix be proud.

  • @rosadobigd ok austronesian then? so what? want rice?

  • @joey143anna no, thanks for the offer though.

  • @rosadobigd One of the very first settlers were Malays, the first apparently were the Aeta, but the first men that lived in the Archipelago were the people of the Tabon man

  • @rosadobigd and the studies aren't false

  • @ThtOnePinoy those studies are outdated, malay race does not exist it was made up by scholars long ago and this term is not used anymore by modern scholars. Malay people is now only used by Malaysians, so if your proud to be Malaysian instead of Filipino then move to Malaysia.

  • @rosadobigd and just like you telling me move to malaysia if Im proud of that heritage, you can go move to spain if your such a nuthugger to the spanish instead of to your own, and you know whats fucking hilarious? Niyabyab didn't say anything about the malay race to start with, so you're the dumbass here.

  • @ThtOnePinoy im not filipino if thats what you think, i replied someone talking about malay race i dont know who it is and i dont care i was just pointing out that it was incorrect, you wanna talk about nuthugging how about Filipinos trying to be American and erasing Spanish contributions, well i guess Americans fooled you very well.

  • @rosadobigd Hmm it doesn't work the way you say, we are not erasing any contributions, we are correcting abominations and errors in cultural heritage, sure there may be a few filipino who put up that american act, but it's a dying phase, what you are observing is us finding our true culture and trying to be as rich as our ancestors were, however you lack the iq to understand there is nothing spain contributed other than catholicism. I don't see how America is connected in any way

  • @ThtOnePinoy We contributed nothing to the Philippines except Catholicism? try the Latin alphabet, your last names, your holidays, your traditions, even your martial arts have some European sword fighting influences. Most of your history is STILL written in Spanish waiting to be translated..your national heroes were all Spanish speakers. Had the filthy Yanks not intervened, the Philippines would have been an extension of Hispanic America

  • @FutbolEspanol2010 Excuse me, but destroying something else in it's place is, at least in my books and in many other's views as well, what strips it from being ever called a "true contribution". And lol, would we ever want to be part of Hispanic America? We're not even part of America to start with, either way it could not happen. If the Americans hadn't invaded, the Japanese would, and they would do worse to the Spaniards who were in the Philippines I guarantee it, they were doomed

  • @FutbolEspanol2010 (continued, read first comment) Never try to bend history and think I'm that gullible, I find that insulting that you even attempted... It's obvious to anyone that the Spanish couldn't afford fighting the Japanese, and they certainly would not agree to neutrality for obvious reasons. And excuse me, ALL of our national heroes? Lol, is that a true contribution?Stop overexagerrating and distinguish the difference between those who actually used it,and those who just learned it.

  • @FutbolEspanol2010 (continued) you have to excuse my last comment though, I understand that was a pretty ridiculous comment on my part, but rosado's last comment instigated me, I do not care to be American or Spanish, and I do not appreciate it when others see them as the only thing we can be, why not just simply be Filipino? We are friends now for the fact we clarified this between each other a long time ago after, but that is a different story.

  • @ThtOnePinoy please see my reply to your message in your inbox, too long to type here

  • @rosadobigd and retaining our original culture does not mean we're being fooled by Americans, as that makes no sense, thats irrelevant and such a foolish remark, perhaps you should study our culture, maybe then you won't sound so ignorant.

  • @rosadobigd Oh and just so you know, the name Melayu is the local name for the Malaysians in Malaysia, if you're going to try and prove something doesn't exist at least don't look so obviously stupid while your doing it, the malaysians do in fact exist and we share ancestry from them. If this is your whole campaign is to break our relations with our asian neighbors, then go jump in a lake and die, because people like you fuck up the world

  • @rosadobigd and referring to your campaign, I mean what your goal is in your channel's description to destroy our culture even further to the point where we no longer have an identity. Commit an entire genocide why don't you? Why not just leave well enough alone, the filipino people is not for you to brainwash with, we're not returning to a culture of oppresion, a culture that reminds us that we've lost everything our ancestors royalty gave us.

  • @ThtOnePinoy noone is trying to destroy your culture all i am saying is to appreciate all your history, nobody is trying to brainwash you except the Americans before, Philippines was the richest country in Asia when it was part of the Hispanic community, so what happened?

  • @rosadobigd Correction, Philippines before the spanish ever heard about the archipelago itself consisted of a few of the richest kingdoms in Asia, even older than Tokyo. What happened? Colonization, oppresion, the riches maintained in Manila at least somewhat, but what happened to the other kingdoms like Tondo and Namayan??? You tell me.

  • @rosadobigd And also, oh I am very much aware of American atrocities, I dislike their mocking of the kingdom of Tondo by misusing the name for the poorest district in Manila, but remember your ancestors also caused atrocities as well, no one is innocent, not even some of my own.

I just hope you're not one of those people who think we couldn't be modernized without the spanish, because I'll tell you right now, our kingdoms were already on that path.

  • @ThtOnePinoy check out the comment i left on your page, congrats on your page.

  • rafael, just for your info. spanyards never been "our ancestors" we are malay, chinese and astroneseans. You might as well study southeast asian history first, no word wars please its just for the faggots!

  • Filipinos are Austronesian, Chinese and Malay. And Spanish amigo, whether you like it or not.

I happened to have lived in Taiwan for almost two years.

I have also lived in Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore.

And you will not find the same kind of people there, neither the same traditions. Go check for yourself or talk to Filipinos who have been there.

There's nothing wrong with being a mixed race, in fact it is a good thing, Spaniards mostly are.

What is wrong is to be ashamed of your own blood.

  • I agree with you completely Rafael, denying ones bloodline because of some misplaced grudge based on the past that wasn't even fully understood by this "amateur historian wannabe(s)" is just making me realize how backwards some people are. The worst thing that the Spaniards did to this country IS NOTHING compared to what the current PH government is doing to its own people right now. As far as I'm concerned, we are more spanish in ways more than anything else-(chinese, american, etc.).

  • Filipinos are in many ways more Spanish than even people in Spain.

All those Spanish traditions that are alive and well here are lost in Spain nowadays, for better or for worse...

  • what makes you say that??

  • Many customs and traits that are lost in Spain but in the Philippines are alive and well.

They even use the same words: Dignidad, Palabra de Honor, etc.

The funny thing is that Filipinos think that those traditions are not Spanish. I even had some people telling me that Catholicism was taken from the Philippines to Spain.

  • I am from Spain and I find quite hilarious to read how the descendant of Spaniards say that their own ancestors f***ed up the country.

Their ancestors, NOT mine, my ancestors never traveled to the Philippines, but just having a look at the faces of the Filipinos you'll know that many of them have Spanish blood.

  • spain is just a small country, who wants to own all of the world. next to great britain..they sold the philippines to spain. fuck that, Jose Rizal knows.

    we ARE NOT THE PHILIPPINES.

  • The Spaniard Ruins are country fuck them all.

  • You mean your ancestors?

Well, don't feel so bad about it, I believe that isn't necessarily genetically transferred.

  • Dr. Jose Rizal did not favor a revolution against Spain because he knows that the Philippines cannot govern itself yet. He just wants to have an equal rights and he also want Filipinos to have the same positions the same as Spaniards to the Spanish Cortes.

  • Dr. Jose Rizal shouldnt have been the hero of the Philippines, it should've been Bonefacio because he was ready for war against the spanish oppressors in the Philippines but he was assasinated by Emilio Aguinaldo's men because Emilio was given good money to prevent it from happeningand later exiled!!!!

There are alot of untold History of the Philippines, everytime we change it the Americans intervene the process because they too corupted the Filipino ppl.

  • I disagree on you. Dr. Jose Rizal is the rightful national hero of the Philippines because like what I've said he didn't favor revolution against Spain. I know how Andres Bonifacio died, it was in the Tejeros Convention when he was killed. And the Americans were the reason why filipinos hated the Spaniards. To tell you, it was the insulares who are the mean ones not the peninsulares.. They were the ones who started the revolution followed by the mestizos, castizos and indios..!

  • Do you have any idea who picked Philippines' national hero, its was the AMERICANS!!!! they stripped away our authority to wrtie our own history.

Jose Rizal loved the Spain so much that he prevented a revolution from happening he even talked to Bonefacio.

At the time Spain became weak and unsubstantial. The filipinos knew that they had the fortitude and the right army to almost push them back. But the Americans came and intervene the process, fooling us and telling the world they defeated Spain

  • Yes I do have.. and you're right it was the yankees.. The reason why he didn't favor a revolution is because he knows many civilians especially women and children will be killed and he also knows that filipinos don't have enough funds and not yet fully prepared to have a war against Spain and during that time Spain is at the peek of its empire. It was the Americans also deleted the Spanish language in the Philippines and changed our history in favor of them..

  • You're half right. The Americans became Superpower when they signed a treaty at France addressing Spain's defeat and Phils. becoming their colony. But who defeated Spain? It was actually the filipino army not US that took back our country. Bonefacio was right at that time and Spain wasn't at its peek of empire, they were gradually deteriorating and crumbling. They became weak and Bonefacio knew how to save the filipino identity and put our own nation back on the map. A revolution has to happen.

  • Yes but the Americans never conquered any colonies.. they just bought countries that were formerly from Spain and other countries.. Jose Rizal is really the rightful hero of the Philippines because his intentions was not war but equality.. that is the reason why Americans and Filipinos chose him the National Hero.. plus he is also educated..

  • Rizal doesn't want Spain to leave. There's a confusion of our independence and identity. The reason why filipinos lack the pride of being patriotic and who they are today is b/c of humiliation, captivation, extraneous & controlled by 2 countries. When you ask a young filipino today "What are you?" they would Either and Rather say Im pacific islander, hispanic, asian ancestry, or even relate themselves to european ancestry! Rarely anyone would stand up with integrity and simply say Im a filipino.

  • Spanish is from Spain

  • stupid spaniards

  • come to think of it, rizal wasn't really against spain but the friars who ruled the country...rizal was in love with spain...he even wrote his last poem in spanish not in tagalog or pilipino...he loved everything spanish...rizal was made the national hero at the instigation of the americans who cannot accept anyone who went against them /the americans/.....

  • Rizal wasn't that good with his Tagalog, so he gave up writing the sequel to El Filibusterismo.

  • hahah dumbass

he wrote EL Filibusterismo against Spain

becuz they were oppressors to filipino ppl.

  • @dfword rught it should have been andres bonifacio or macario sakay, or lapu-lapu

  • our surnames were forced in our fore fathers and our woman were raped, our own identity was ravaged by those invaders. They stole our land and called it their hacienda. they named us after their king and treated us like subhumans,They taught us the colonial paradigm and left us in ruins. Still we look up to them, so proud of the lightner skin that we become. 300 years n counting still we are not free.we must let go and find our own identity, and be proud that we are still Pilipinos.

  • You are one of the ppl that make sense here

these other fools like dfword n dairokutenmaoh are ignorants

  • @actinicblue With words like that, you will always find a fellow kababayan :)

  • look at the names in the credits part. That is totally not an Asian name.

  • There's even a couple of Basques!!

  • hahah ur an ignorant

their last names were forced to us and stripped our identity

Pinoys are simply me, you and the ppl of the philippines it doesnt take a genius to know that.

  • @avatarmoney Thank you fellow kababayan

  • most of filipinos who have spanish surnames are also of spanich descent

  • american was from euro and spain was from south america

  • american was from euro and spain was from south amreica, youre stupid go back to school before you write comments, you need to learn more history stupid dee dee dee.

  • Uh last time i cheked Spain was in Europe not South America, and America is in North America, not Europe, maybe you should go back to school and learn somthing about geography!

  • Huge mistake. America is in North America.Spain is in Europe. And South America is in SOUTH AMERICA.

  • bobo! hahaha! lol

  • I hav a fav vid of spanishmanila that will travel u back in time. It was b4 manila was completely destroyed during WW2.Filipinos were dignified back then.

  • i just dont understand why the filipinos think spanish people are brown like mexicans.

  • nobody in this world has a pure breed evryone is a product of cross breeding. even english and black people, japanese, chinese, asians and huns, they were from different ancestors. If we were not christian we were muslims or buddhist or pagans. so race really doesnt matter now.

  • read the books he wrote. you'll definitely get mad at the priest, specifically Damaso, who abused the people as marcosbroc said, "in the name of God". Geeze...being called a heretic just because you don't attend mass...what bullshit...

  • they are not priest they are friars and they are exiled in the philippines coz of they're wrong doing in mainland spain

  • so in conclusion unlike hispanics who actually inherated their names down thru family line, meaning granfather to father and father to child. is a clear indication of where our ancesters came from. get it right man they are not like us. in order to be consider spanish you have to prove that your ancestors were spaniard and that is not the case with the philippines.

  • do you know what this mean? this means that they were given spanish names as part of christianization. the were forced to follow the catholic reliong as part of spanish rule.

  • Yes, dont forget the muslim moors too who predated the reconquested spain. Up to this day muslims are still ostracized in spanish society.

  • Yes, dont forget the muslim moors too who predated the reconquested spain. Up to this day muslims are still ostracized in spanish society.

The Aragonese, the Basque and Catalonians in a sense are independent from the rest of spain yet still incorporated.

Spanish History has always been mired by racism and religious/cultural/economic castration.

  • Unfortunately some Filipinos ignore that many people in Spain was also abused, tortured, burn and murdered by the Catholic Church "in the name of God". People like the Aragonese, the Basque and Catalonia were also victims of their greed, as well as the many poor people everywhere in Spain. We were all subject to the abuse of the priests.

  • your right :))

  • Los Filipinos deberian considerarse Hispanoasiaticos?

  • INTERFEAR1- dont be stupid! philipinos aren's hispanic.Only about 1% of the population (mostly Filipinos of Spanish and Mexican origin) would qualify as Hispanic by ancestry.

Piensalo!

  • INTERFEAR1-bueno lo pense por un segundo. pero nada.

the only thing hispanic about them is their names, but even that dosent indicate they are spanish.spanish names is a result of a colonial decree for the systematic distribution of family names and implementation of the Spanish naming system on the inhabitants of the Philippines.

  • No, todavia no entiendes.

  • where are the genetic studies to confirm the "1%" only spanish/mexican ancestry?

Hispanized - Hispanic and now, Hispanicized, all mean the same thing. they are the same root in politically correct mutations.

Besides, its not how one looks like but culture that matters in identity.

"Hispanics" come in different shades (in a manner of speaking. That includes filipinos because of our mestisaje culture and nation construct.

  • gracias a ti ..

Gracias!

  • Gracias también amigo .. Lo siento pero no tengo un msn

  • I think the war in spanish era all begun on RACISM!

  • Eventually Philippin is very small but we still defeated spain we work hard and we focous PINOY PRIDE

Learn to speak Spanish... the narrator sounds like if he had down syndrome or something.

  • um, no. the spanish sounds great... what spanish do you think is right? it definitely isnt the spanish from venezuela.

  • Jose realized he was up against with this... Rev 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH, WHO IS DRUNK WITH THE BLOOD OF MANY PILIPINOS! What can bolos and guns do against this Beast! We better learn from Jose matagal na niyang itiniwalag ang sarili niya mula sa Hayop na ito! Kase marami marami pa rin dito ginagawa ang Sign of the Beast tuwing Linggo!

  • Brothers and sisters how will it take us Pilipinos to realize that Spain was not Rizals enemy ... Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Thats why he never resorted to violence but love.

  • thank you guys for your comments, we are inviting you to visit our site and read more books about the Philippines. We also invite you to join our forum and share your blog post.(filipiniana(dot)net)

  • Noli me tangere and El filibusterismo shows us how the Spaniards opressed the Filipinos , we were treated like animals . It still makes me sick as i read his novels today

  • You don't read his novels. You read a translation of his novels.

  • KATUTUBO~!

  • ang galing galing nio naman. you make the filipinos of spain proud.

    r.

  • MABUHAY ANG MGA INDIO!!!!
