Once side of my family was heavily Christian and the other side didn't really give a damn. Putting faith in some person I didn't know or even met just seemed like a weird concept when I was young, so I never rolled with it. UNDIRECTED NATURAL LAWS can't produce the order in an airplane or a cell. Once there's a complete cell, the code and mechanisms exist to produce more cells. How did the cell come about when there was no code or mechanism in nature? Natural selection doesn't produce anything. It only "selects" from what is produced and it only operates once there is life, not before. If a variation occurs that helps a species survive, then that species survives (is "selected"). That's all it is! Don't worship it!

Once side of my family was heavily Christian and the other side didn't really give a damn. Putting faith in some person I didn't know or even met just seemed like a weird concept when I was young, so I never rolled with it. I always wasn't forced into believing it like the poor children in the footage you showed in your videos.

Of course, being the logic major I am, he committed fallacy of equivocation many times. But then again, this isn't a logic assignment, it's an English assignment. But still, why are people looking to an English assignment for answers. Not only that, but of the facts he stated are just plain wrong. For instance, God ordained that we could eat previously "unclean" animals in Acts 10. Isn't it also ironic that there were grammatical errors in an English assignment?

I very much enjoyed your point of view and have for many years felt exactly what you were able to articulate in such a way as to be a precurser to the rest of human life. I believe that the very last statement you have in this piece is very poetic as I have seen the beauty in my family who happen to be christian even though I am myself not. I've spent three years studying the Philosophy and Ethics of Religion and I completely agree with everything you've said. Religion contradicts itself all over the place and has absolutely no evidence to back anything up and yet people live their lives according to it.

I agree that people do and have done terrible things in the name of god. However, this is not unique to religion. People do terrible things in the name of acquiring power, acquiring money, anger, saving animals, drugs, insanity and many other reasons. People can do terrible things in the name of whatever they want. I don't think this is evidence of anything other than the terrible things people are capable of.

Just so ya know... that Ezekiel quote had serious liberties taken with it. It doesn't appear in the bible as Samuel L. Jackson quoted it. Hands down the strongest part of your video has been the quip at the very end. Did you come up with that yourself? "God is what mankind use to attribute to things that we truely did not understand..." is an excellent summation. Cheers for spreading logic and reasoning.
