More than 30 years later, I confirm, this movie stinks. Egad. People fell for this? I had a lousy feeling when I saw it, and from another CONTINENT, I say feh. The comment on the previous segment about Charlotte Rampling maybe being a man was interesting. Men love her. So be it! What a horrendouse dud this move is. Thank you for posting, however! Really. Just sayin'. What do I know?
@CuteCatFaith I'm in accord with your comment. But not everybody fell for this. Woody diehards who love everything he does also liked this one, but it got a lot of bad reviews back in the day. A few years later, when I was in college, HANNAH AND HER SISTERS got scads of great reviews and I remember hating it even more than STARDUST MEMORIES. In retrospect, HANNAH was one of the key films that turned me off to filmgoing in general.
@goback3spaces My hilarious second mother in law saw HANNAH and her rude comments in Yiddish were worth a million! Wow, did she hate it. Often, movies I don't like are like books I cannot read so it is fun to try later. I hated DECONSTRUCTING the first time I saw it but looked again and loved it and kept seeing it. So, go figure. I thought MANHATTAN MURDER MYSTERY was brilliant and saw it when it came out and cannot wait to see it again. I wonder if I will still like it?
