and a ep3 has ivtec. it's different from all the other models. it doesn't have a performance vtec... more of a economy vtec. it kicks in at like 2.8rpm, if i remember correctly. ep3 wasn't built to be fast. =p
your right ep's have a weak motor heavier chassis but... you can always modified a lil i took the ac, seats, subs, put a racing battery like cut down a lil weight then swap the k20a3 not hte whole motor but a head and a bloxk of a dc5 k20a2 and it rides quixk and handles like a hooker from downtown
funny thing is people say it is 6800 but on the dyno for my baseline it cut at 6500 and actually this video is of my car at 7200rpm cutoff..I am using AEM EMS
I don't have a uego for it so I haven't really messed with it. The shop used theres and dyno tuned it but once I do have a uego I want to learn some stuff
What do u have to make it go past 72

I love it how our tach goes off the charts unaccurately.
7200rpm showed up as 7800 for you.
unknownally 2 years ago
yeah and when it was stock the tack went to 6800 but the dyno said it cut at 6500rpm!
wellsfrago 2 years ago
Mine goes to 7000 so I guess mine cuts off at 6700! =(

yours is going to 10k?
wellsfrago 3 years ago
Actually the ep3's tachometer is off by 3-400 rpm at redline with the stock rev limit. Stock rev limit is 6900rpm, not 7200.
