DG can go screw themselves. I don't know about you guys, but I kinda like having Valentina as the best-kept secret in classical music. Much thanks to Pieter for his invaluable chronical of this amazing artist. Love the behind-the-scenes glimpses of her. She seems completely unaffected, with an impish sense of humor.

@ReubenD99 I was referring to the fact that, despite her enormous popularity on youtube, Valentina does not have a major recording contract. Hard to believe considering her incredible talent. On the other hand, I kinda like her status as a "cult" hero of the classical world, and I don't give a shit if she records with some label as long as she keeps posting these videos.

@pokey303 : Your question is totally valid and justified. While so many people all over the world are eager to hear and buy Val's Rachmaninoff-project recordings, it's almost Kafka-esque to see how at least one big label is NOT dealing with it. As far as I know Deutsche Grammophon (DG) has the recordings on its desk for over a year now, without taking any action. Outrageous, isn't it? See/google also Norman Lebrecht's blog "Youtube's most popular pianist - coming up on Deutsche Grammophon"
