@justfavk Recorder flute doesn't need much air, it's also pretty fast. It was leading wind instrument for ages, replaced with traverse flute in baroque when key mechanism (first one flap) improoved chromatic and scale. We think about recorder as simple school instrument - see Michala Petri recordings on YT and you will discover that I did nothing special here :)
