This is awesome footage, never thought I'd ever see the Wasps anywhere. Their Teenage Treats 7" is great. Can't Wait To 78 is another classic! Great stuff...cheers for putting this up
certainly one of the best punk rock bands ever in my book, pity they didnt get as far as they should've and its a pity they didnt release an album back then, still you can get punkyronics or at least you can try,it's going for silly money these days
I still own a hardcore of 120 7'' 45's from the 76-79 punk era that i will have til i die. One of them is the Wasps 'Teenage Treats/ She Made Magic'.....still sounds as great now as it did then. the B-side is still my favourite!
Este grupo enefecto, se llaman "The Wasps" Lo se, porque mi jefe es el cantante! Se formaron en el 1976 y su mejor album fue, "Punkyronics" que aun se puede consegir de, Overground Records. Son la leche!!! Mi tema favorita es "Can't wait till 78"
Jesse is right. The clip is The Wasps and 'not' The Mob, as I am also in it playing bass. There is also a slight extract from a number called 'She's Got Another One' at the beginning. I would love to know who owns the video and if there is more of it!
Hi Bill, Good to hear people are stilling chilling out to The Wasps. Regarding a reunion, the figures never add up. It would mean taking time out, hiring digs, rehearsal rooms and equipment for about a month. Propersitions have never matched the expences. Re Blackpool fest, I'm afraid not. Regards Steve
Hi, thought you might like to know that the band in the video is not "The Mob", it is infact "The Wasps" & I should know 'cos it's me singing, Jesse Lynn-Dean. The song "I've got something to tell you" is on our album, "Punkyronics", on the Overground Records Label.
there is a great Lp on rave up records!
