Your right about the hands not being synchronized but the angle of the camera would bot allow you to see the camera even if it was a mirror which in this case it is bit it is a wall with a frame on it and he is handle ing the objects with both hands from around the corner ;) still pretty cool though

I know the trick you use your left hand in the mirror and your right hand outside the mirror. the banana is more ripe then one in the mirror. look at the shadows. In frame 0:43 his left ring finger is bent in more then his right ring finger.

1. as you can see, the frame is sligtly apart from the wall - its shadow is a little skewed to the right and it is clearly visible that there is a very little part of the table behind the frame.

2. see that when he leans forward at 0:06, his face also reflects in the glass. in order to do that with a window, he must have two heads. now i must admit, he is one quirky quirlogist, but two-headed? naah.

While it takes preparation to do by getting the mug and book with reversed lettering, the setup is simple really. The mirror is a piece of glass, he's using both hands, one on one this side of the "mirror" and one behind the "wall" (which is just cardboard or wood to simulate a wall). Using both hands you just mirror image your actions on each side. The banana disappears with the use of magicians string by pulling it off the table (someone else pulls it off when he covers the edge of the table).

He used too many details, really, to show us that it's really mirrored, if you think about them. Also, he would probably not use his right hand to demonstrate, he'd have to almost hug the wall in order to keep his arm that straight (parallel with the wall) and near the mirror. More probably, he would sit on the other side of the table or use his left hand.
