  • Huntingdon, loved living there, unfortunately had to leave for smokey and bloody London! Miss you so much Huntingdon.

  • Lovely video, I would point out though that most of it was filmed in Godmanchester the town next to Huntingdon, Godmanchester is indeed all beautiful. Godmanchester is also older than Huntingdon, chartered in 1212, they also have a much better cricket team (not that that is relevant). All that said, it is wonderful that as a tourist you found our area so lovely, and you have presented it beautifully, thank you!

  • @JamesLeetPAIYBAC Thanks for your comments. We stayed in Huntingdon and thoroughly enjoyed the area.

  • @topwing93 the oxmoor isn't as bad as your making out..

  • @BritishGirlAlways yes it is

  • go on the oxmoor see if its beautiful there if you dont get stabbed ;)

  • the church at 1:03 is where me my two brothers and my little sister were christened and my mum and dad got married there. i have lived here for 13 years and i can honestly say to me it is one of the most amazing places to live so the people who think its horrible to live here think twice and have a good look around. xx

  • I've lived in Huntingdon for 12 years now and walk past the Cromwell museum 2 or 3 times a week and I've only been in it once when I was like 8! I should go again soon.

I suppose from an outsider's point of view it may look nice, but to live in, it's not all that great and some parts are dire.

  • @beamsl91 Thanks for your comments. We saw it as tourists and found the area and it's history interesting.

  • @beamsl91 i have lived around here for 16 years but i know huntingdon dont look like how extravagant how this clip makes it out to be. as much as i love the clip because it makes me want to live here longer

  • I live in Huntingdon, it was the cover town on the book "Crap towns 2", check it on Amazon

  • i love the way youve captured the best moments of huntingdon rather than catch it on a bad day :) lol

  • It is not Main Street, it is High Street.

  • The main street is called High Street.

  • @Zoexena

And up that high street is full of cheap shoe shops and chip shops LOL

  • Port Holme,.... GREAT FOR MAGIC MUSHROOMS :)

  • i'v lived in Huntingdon for 22 years and i know its not great but its my home

  • Well! You are a sensible person indeed!

My dear friend Yvette Poutine of Huntingdon has posted your kind comments on her website.

And even your picture is there!

The Poutines and Leblancs of Huntingdon do love you!

(I think Yvette is bollocks about you)

  • most of the video is Godmanchester which is village next to Huntingdon!

  • you are having a laugh! HUNTINGDON is a HOLE! If you get an invite, turn round and run a very fast the other way! I lived there for 16yrs and couldnt wait to move on!!! CRAP place.

  • I live there!

    HUNTINGDON ROCKS

  • Then you must have eaten at Yvette Poutines fish and chips! On Main street.

Her website claims it is the best in Huntingdon AND Godmanchester too!

  • woo go huntingdon i live there! Its just its not all like what you saw. There are loads of ugly places, not what you see there.

  • Most Cities and Towns have "ugly places". You should all be proud of where you live. When we are on holidays we look for the good things to film and photograph.

  • Thanks, sometimes when living thousands of miles is a short walk home. :)

  • theres much more to huntingdon than oliver cromwell. its not just old deserted streets and churches. i live in huntingdon and its not the sleepy town this video makes it out to be, that along with the music makes it look so depressing. i think you should have called it a day in godmanchester which is where most of the video was filmed.

  • Im from Buenos Aires, Argentina. I lived in St Ives years ago but my friends there lived in Huntingdon. I remember the "walkies" around the area. I spent great times there. Cheers mates!

  • Thanks for this.Think we need reminding sometimes that this is a cool place to be.Have forwarded to our many ex RAF Alconbury friends who remember Huntingdon with affection.

  • we live in huntingdon and this video romanticises what huntingdon in really like! If you lived here you would know that the area does not have a good repuation!

  • Every provincial town has its less scenic side. You won't see films of London focusing on Tower Hamlets council estates.

Cheer up and appreciate what you have rather than focussing on the negatives.

  • i live here ;)

  • me to

  • 17 years ago, we were stationed in Alconbury AFB , and we lived in Huntingdon. I have been to these places. Seeing this brought some good memories of England. Thanks.

  • Nice views of the place where I live. You should have seen it a couple of weeks ago when Portholme and the river meadows were under water as far as Hartford and Brampton.

  • Thanks from the U.S. for posting this. My husband's ancestors are from Huntingdon, and we've never had a chance to see it.

  • OMG. I lived walking distance away from the town centre. Thanks for posting this!

  • One of the most memorable parts of our UK-Europe holiday was the couple of days we spent in Huntingdon exploring the Town and Countryside with our Daughter.

  • I lived in the area of Huntingdon for 3 years and watching your video really brings back some good memories. Thank you very much.
