Guys, I REALLY don't know how you can complain! I'm British, and we've got the intellectually lightweight, amoral, incompetent David Cameron bombing the nation back into the stone age. God, I miss Tony Blair!
Naw, there was not courage shown there. They were minor steps, ones Obama promised, it's why we voted for him in spite of concerns. And the health care "reform" is sadly pro-corporate, without the slightest public option and people who promoted single payer being arrested for even suggesting it. That ain't courage. The lowest tax rate for the wealthy in US history, and nothing be done about it. That ain't courage. The Dems have very little courage. Too many centrists, and Obama's hardly better.
@jamesdc60 Healthcare reform, repeal of DADT. Two right there
By the way, I have all seasons of The West Wing. In this video when Leo asks Sam (Rob Lowe) about his meeting....... earlier in the episode the meeting was about the policy of DADT. Truth is often better than fiction.
@aswar87 Healthcare reform and DADT repeal are good, true. And would have been better twenty years ago. But I wouldn't call fixing things that should already have been done, courageous, would you? I also don't hear government speaking truth without regard for reelection either.
@jamesdc60 Um, excuse me? "would have been better twenty years ago"???
The person you should be bitching about then should be Clinton. Don't blame Obama for a spineless dixiecrat from Arkansas. "I wouldn't call fixing things that should already have been done, courageous...." --- Uh yeah, it is courageous if the president who fixes these things was dealing with a problem from 80+ years ago. Last I checked, Obama wasn't 80 years old.
@PeterFormaini 20 years "basically" is what I meant, unless you are about to let yourself get on the high horse because you found a few words that weren't spelled right.
I think Obama had one of these moments last week.

I'm sorry, but you people need to stop whining.

@aswar87 You people? BTW, I didn't name names. But if I were, I would know that 2011-20=1991 Bush Sr. not Clinton.
jamesdc60 11 months ago
@aswar87 Actually, 20 years ago Bush was president. :D
