I know this might be really old but how could u not like Frankenstein? I'm studying it now for english, obviously the english syllabus hasn't changed ><"
but I found it an epic book
and also Evil Genius wasn't that bad, i remember reading it and loving the character. At the moment im reading the sequels if you havent read them you might give them a try.
Same story line and all, but its probably because im fascinated with the idea of hacking.
Im reading Evi Genius right now, and personally i think it's one of the coolest books i;ve ever read! (and the longest book :P) im on pg 315. I don't see how you could think evil genius was boring! Im reading it right now and i'm pretty hooked. Maybe it's just because i want to be an enginneer someday....REPLY PLZ
I was enjoying it until I got to the end. It was then that I realized that the author wasn't going anywhere with the story. I'm interested to hear your reaction after you've finished it, so please let me know. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.
Okay well i finished the book day before yesterday, and I personally found the ending making me read more, because it got more suspenseful...then again you are right catherine jinks wasn't going anywhere with the story and there were alot of parts where i had to force myself to read more because they were pretty boring. In a way you were right but it was still good. I hear genius squad is better!REPLY PLZ
I go up to a lake for the summer though, with a ton of my friends from all over the world. I would be so mad if I didn't go away for the summer. Honestly, I don't know how my friends from school can stand playing video games all summer or getting a job. Must be boring as hell
Well, Frankenstein is an ignorant, selfish moron. He's a mechanical genius, but he thinks only about himself. He ignores the creature's request to make a female creature, and gets what was coming for him in the end. We fully analyzed this book in my English class, and the author intended for the reader to dislike Victor.
suuure your record is 43.... thats why ur fastest time on video is like 2min yeah u sucked at it anyway so at least you still have your books and how does reading about frankenstien make u less ignorant
rubikscubeman, you are an idiot. I have several sub-50 solves up. Quit exaggerating to make me look bad. I hate people who have to go around destroying people's reputations to make themselves look better. You're only making yourself look stupider. Yes, my record is 43. Please shut up you ignorant moron.
And thanks, marionbarfs, for an intelligent comment! I don't think Victor and the creature were too similar, but I see where you're coming from.
frankenstein is one of my favorite books, thematically I think it's fantastic--I get your review though, the book can be a bit tedious. I just think it's a profound examination of man and nature and his constant attempts to defy it
ever read grendel by John Gardner?
That's one of my favorites too
and
"most of you had comments about how stupid reading is and how it makes you dumb" lol in that case I guess I'll have to watch some more reality t.v. to really boost my IQ

Wizards first rule is an epic book. Enjoy the next 10 in the series :)
Yes, the ABC series is only covering the first book. I'm really hoping that means there's going to be 11-12 seasons. That would be incredible.

Both were quite self-centered, but the creature killed things. Victor only assisted in his murders.

Haven't read Grendel, but I just read The Art of Fiction by John Gardner. It was great-- he has a lot of amazing points in that book.
