FF8 Squall/Seifer in Ultimecia Battle (part1/2)

Is it possible to swap Seifer with Squall as the main character? Like for FF7 you can change Cloud into Sephiroth and fight against Cloud.

This was how at least one of the Final Boss's stages should have been; Squall and Seifer fighting side by side. I'd imagine that with the rest of the party temporarily gone, Seifer makes one last stand beside Squall, the two Gunblade Specialists finally fighting together.

it would be cool if seifer actually did come back to help you in the ultimecia fight kinda like gabranth did in 12 againsed vayne.

I reckon a gameshark or trainer (PSX or PC) has been used to achieve this. Noticing seifer only having critical hits confirms his Luck is maxed out @ 255 which is without cheats practically impossible to reach. (Ultima + Luck 50% tops @ aprox. 140) so i can confirm that the gamer didn't train to get get this :D

Actually Seifer's attack uses the R2 trigger timing just like Squall's does.. soooo your theory is therefore obsolete.

My comment was kind of sceptic :p It;s still unobselete due to the fact that you can't ever play Seifer outside of dollet. Or am I pointing out the obvious too hard?

Ehh. you kind of are. We all know this isnt possible without some form of hacking. I was just commenting that seifer's stats were not necessarily hack.

Mmkay, my bad! just didn't knew seifer had a R2 trigger. Never read it anywhere. Stat hack in Ultimecia battle would be pointless anyhow.

Technically yes, but in the end he isn't. He wusses out of his failed knight carreer and goes fishing with his friends. Not comparable to villains such as Ultimecia, Kuja, Sephiroth etc.
