Oahspe correctly describes, however poorly, the current state of Science prior to Sir Issac Newton. It was Newton's ideas on gravity that over through the Cartesian idea of a Master Vortex that moved the planets. Prior to Newton, it was believed by many that the universe was filled with a invisible matter, that was a mechanical means of moving the planets and the propagation of light.
Oashpe incorrectly clung to these old ideas about the nature of the universe is proof that the book is flawed.

Mormonism has some beliefs like the oahspe. I just bought an 1882 oahspe for $15! I'm no fan of Mormonism or oahspe. Both use automatic writing. As far as I know most "Oahspeans" are not in any sort of group but just study and believe on their own, that's why no one seems to have heard of it before, and there's not a very active movement associated with it.

Newbrough really did a very poor job of plagiarizing Swedenborg and Descartes. He just copied their ideas. Only problem is, those ideas turned out to be "BAD SCIENCE." Except for the parts he quoted from Newton and James Hooke, the remaining theories of VORTEX MOTION were abandoned by SCIENCE.

Bless Jehovih! Oahspe is a remarkable book. I have been reading it for some 4+ years. Isn't it amazing how a book written in 1882 can tell of the coming of seedless fruit, the coming of the Olympics and I believe it is also adresses the concept of crop circles:

It says that they will first appear on land, then water and finally in the hard standing rocks.

I am friends with this person who constantly endeavors to push THE OAHSPE on me. He tries every manipulation he can think of just to get me to believe the same way he does. He won't take no for an answer and as a result, he has done more to turn me off than get me interested. At least this video does not push the ideology, the "Faithism" on me, I am allowed to listen to the video without being bombarded with cheap attempts to manipulate me and so I appreciate that. Well I wouldn't say that Im a "follower" per se... Im just someone who stumbled on the book and since reading the first page didnt stop reading until I was finished. The Oahspe encompasses not only religious ideologies but it also encompasses many scientific (and spiritual) correlations that we have only recently began to understand.

What mainly caught my attention was how comprehensive it is. Just like you, I've heard about alot of stuff and I've always felt that there was a solid "story" behind what we've come to know today... ... religion, science, ancient history and civilizations, angels, demons, ghosts, etc... I think the book makes those connections... that is, as long as one is able to read with an eye of understanding...
