  • This netbook or Asus 1201n ?? I don,t know. Help pls!

  • asus 1201n. more battery life and better graphic performance

  • @minipcpro but the price difference is roughly 240 dollars

  • Better graphic performance? How is that possible when this has the AMD dualcore X2 cpu and the Asus has the Atom dualcore cpu? The Ion may be SLIGHTLY better graphic rendering, but its a small difference, especially when the 1201n cpu bottlenecks so much.

  • you are absolutely right, i mixed it up with the u200. problem of the u230 is, the batterylife sucks due to the horrible powerconsumption of the Congo platform

  • depends on what the purpose is. The MSi U230 has a better CPU with okay graphics, while the Asus 1201n has a weaker cpu but better gpu with the nVidia Ion chip.

  • @Viktoramen if you like power, pick msi u230. i have this one.. it doesn't give me the super slow booting time when i open applications simultaneously.. but if you like longer runtime, pick asus.

  • I returned mine. Terrible battery life, about 90minutes. I tried to get a bigger cell battery but MSI service sucks. I was excited about the thing until it drank power like crazy.

  • was that 90 minutes on game playing? with the 6 cell battery? L335 processor? one review said 3.7 hours using office or web browsing, and 2.5 hrs for movie watching.

  • ->

    daroomdaroom

  • This thing should smoke your typical Atom netbook performance wise. Unfortunately, the battery life isn't so netbook-like at only 4+ hours with a 6-cell. At least you get a 1336x768 screen and Radeon HD 3200 graphics for such a small laptop.

  • how much is this one in Philippines

  • P 23,995 bro.

  • 500 gb of hdd ?? wow.

  • yeah, i said the same thing

  • I wonder how loud the fan is under full load and what's the TDP of graphics and CPU.

  • when can i get this in the us and for how much?

  • I think 12" netbooks are great for those that don't want a huge freakin' notebook, but don't want to squint, either. 1280x600 is too tiny for many web pages, yet anything larger is too hard to read on 10" netbooks.

They need at high performance 6 cell or better battery, IMO. Putting a crappy 6 cell or less in this thing is a joke. Netbooks need portability, and if your battery only lasts 3 hrs, it's not very portable. 5 hrs should be minimum battery life for a netbook.

  • dont you love the way she says keys are responsive. the computer isnt on lol

  • @iainirv It wasn't on! lol I'd need to review it in order to make that comment! :P

  • really love the look of this. it looks very sleek. Will have to check out if its available here. i would be interested in finding out how the digital tv signal would work

  • @minipcpro Get lost. Asus 1201n has a fucking slow ATOM CPU, The neo x2 is much faster than the Atom.

  • @Adrianasiionut sure and it's also consuming at least 5 times the power ;)

  • I got the Lenovo EDGE 13. 3-4 hours working is no problem.

If you want battery power get Atom, if you want Cpu Powet get AMD Neo.

It's always a choice between system power and battery power.

I can get a second battery, what are you doing now with your ATOM Netbook ?

    Sell it ??

  • @Adrianasiionut hey i know what i am doing with my netbooks and i know what i am doing with my 13.3-inch ultrathin with 8 hours of batterylife and a nice core2duo su9400. Sorry to bring that up but i just wanna let you know that you shouldn't compare netbooks to ultra-thins. And when it comes to ultra-thins, performance and battery-life, the AMD Neo is not even an option at all.

  • @Adrianasiionut the L335 has 18W TDP compare this to a first generation of an Intel Atom Diamondville with only 2.4W TDP. I wouldn't even call this is a mobile cpu, sorry ;)

  • Netbooks rule the laptop market. The reason for that is that laptops should be mobile. As I recall I recently discovered a 20inch laptop it was that ugly and I couldn't even lift it up.

  • lmao net-books are turning into

    guess what laptops !!!

    how strange

    grtzzzz

  • i wish this model will have a 9 cell battery just like the u123.

  • da hätt ich mit meinem s12 noch warten sollen oO
