Madara was simply using Pain in his "Moon's Eye" plan to take over. Pain was thought to be unkillable, but Pain really never appears in battle; those are just corpses he uses to control.

@thedivineadvenger1 The themes are usually for all Akatsuki members, but those are the main themes of certain characters in the Akatsuki. Most of the time they are mixed up, so there's not really a theme for certain members. It's just the name. I hope that answers your question.

@jedsai yeah Hidan is weak i agree even if he is my favorite but almost all of akatsuki members are killed now exept Hidan,Zetsu and Madara/Tobi hes weak but hes immortal so it dosent matter to him if he is least strongest in Akatsuki but we haven't see Zetsu fighting and he cloud be more weak than hidan. Zetsu is still avile cause he never fights you mey change your mind after we see Zetsu fights :)

well he cant beat konan and sasory thats for sure konan has a body of papper and sasory doesnt have blood exept his heart that he must beat his armor first (this reaquires inhumman steanght like sakura or tsunade) but he can beat kakuu (he killed one heart of him if you remenmber) and kisame could be posible to be killed but extreamly hard ..

i agree..but kakuzu and maybe kisame are quite aware from hidan's power. so they know how to avoid it. kakuzu will just use grudge fear to crush hidan. and kisame will use his water jutsus to avoid hidan's attacks.

Kisame would just bind with samehada and eat Hidan. Kakazu would have hidan's head for bounty clerk in 1 sec.. 6 paths of pain would just obliterate him. Madara can make Hidan to cease to exist
