Yes, this a great, definitive example of Daffy Duck before he became "Disgruntled" Duck during the later 1950's cartoons in which he was the antagonist to Bugs Bunny via the "it's rabbit season, shot him now!" story lines.

There another "reference" that director Bob Clampett slipped in an apparently got past the censors. Of course, everyone knows that "la cucaracha" is Spanish for "the roach". In the next sentence, Duffy refers to "the roach" as being "so round, so firm, so fully packed, so easy on the draw". That reference was part of the 1940's - 1950's advertisements for Lucky Strike cigarettes. Well...what is a roach that is "so round, so firm, so fully packed" packed with???
