Yeah, I love berserk I remember that I downloaded the game from torrent and run in my ps2, (altered off course) and sent my girlfriend to hell for this game (she really hates games) what a girl knows about a conviction like this, well im still with her and Im still playing this amazing game.

"face of a skull as a mortal 2" his ambitions brought god to create the demons of the god had to come down and destroy him... he is the opposer of the god hand, hes depicted in the manga as beating zodd with ease. and has tried to land fatale blow on the likes of void ( the god hand demon) and griffith.. but both attaks were diverted.... now u know :)

The skull knight is an honoranle knight who gives insight into the bailet''s, he looks at gutsu as an "apprentice" a follower in his footsteps its why he helps him.. he saves guts at the end of the eclipse and caska.. he tells gustu that he must collect the bailets n he can "destroy them" buy consuming them within him, this alows him to move threw rifts with his swortd. ..

He is/was human, like Gatsu,did his mistakes, like everybody, but is a great character,and I see him more like the protagonist,as much as Gatsu,than the antagonist. I loved Berserk because it didn't give easy answers, but a good reflection on the complexity of life and the choices of people and their consequences. As Slan says... "It is amazing. There is love, death, lust, hate... This is evil. This is man."
@setzerduane Well, the manga meant for him to be the antanogist. The story is all about revenge, ofcourse I can understand why he made that choice, he had nothing left. The characters are extremely human written, and thus you can relate to the emotions. Its not like I dont understand, you cant just justify it.

If you remember, the old woman in his vision tells him that he MUST sacrifice them also to honour those who already died for him, whose deaths would otherwise have been pointless. So, he was not only forced in his choice by fate, but also by ethical reasons, which makes him everything but evil!

Also,if you think about it, the Band of the Hawk was condemned whatever he did, with the kingsmen and worse things chasing them everywhere. He only gave their deaths a sense. You could even call it mercy, if you like! As for the last chapters of the manga, i only like Grifis' parts, cause nothing really happened to Gatsu since he left the witch's house...
@setzerduane He had to do it in order to be born on the physical realm(the Egg/baby at the tower). Griffith isn't necessarily evil, as seen by his demeanor after being reborn. I think it's much blurrier than that but yea, the end of the Golden Arc was fucked up.

His kingdom was old too, so the dwarves could've fashioned two, in case that one was gone or they may have made multiple sets that were lost over time.
How good is this game? From the you tube videos I've seen this looks like a very good game. I might be getting a Japanese ps2 and I am wondering if I should get this game.
The animations are so true to the serie, the way Berserk Armor Guts wield his sword is truly inspiring and so close to how he does in the manga it make me want to cry!
For a game based of an anime/manga this is by far one of the best i have played. They should really make another i mean even if you don't know berserk (which would be pretty sad), i could still see a lot of people playing this. So come on lets make this shit happen.
@91Tribual It's a nightmare sequence/magic hallucination from the manga. He sees all his old unit. He isn't forced to kill them like in this, but he realizes they're not real, and they all melt away.
Needless to say, the magic user that did that to him came to regret it. Vastly.
I played that sequence, and it's funny to me! Mainly because the only "Counter" that Corkus has is falling over backwards and crawling away from Guts like a bitch.
@tommy1982mighty Well the thing is, the world of Demon's Souls is so close in "feel" to Berserk world, what with Tower of Latria torture cells and Valley of Defilement Plague Babies/Defiled Ones.
They should translate this game to English for American fans of Berserk or release a PS3 version of the game in English with the new parts of the Manga in it.
I would love to get a chance to play a new Berserk game. As things are now, I won't be able to play this game for years. Just imagine what they could do with the current technology. This game looks amazing as it is, but an upgraded version would be truly fantastic.

that isn't how sacrifices work. It doesn't matter if they live or die, that's just gravy. It's about severing a person's ties to humanity. All that matters is that those who are sacrificed are forsaken. Griffith forsook Guts, severing his humanity in the process... so the sacrifice is complete, Guts is just a loose end.

@setzerduane He had to do it in order to be born on the physical realm(the Egg/baby at the tower). Griffith isn't necessarily evil, as seen by his demeanor after being reborn. I think it's much blurrier than that but yea, the end of the Golden Arc was fucked up.

@unionofonion Grifis (it's his original name) was actually the one who got Gatsu out of his desperate standing-alone tormented life and gave him friends, a cause to fight for, and Caska. Everybody in the Band of the Hawk would have given his life for Grifis' dream, so he just took it, that's all. Get over it. Gatsu was the first traitor, btw. He only got back what he had mindlessly given. Never betray the Hawk, dude. Better remember that.

@setzerduane Lol. First of all, the original Japanese name given to that character was ''griffith''. Yes, The people would die gladly for his dream. Gatts didnt really betray him though. He felt like he should make his own choices, since the plan of Griffith wouldve worked from then on. They even dueled again and Gatts won his freedom. @KrimsonTwilight yeah, he is the skull knight, he wasn't always tho, he was human before whom fought demons until he also got a hold of what is called the berserk armor(what guts has in the fight against gurernberd), except skull knights berserk armor became something else, an armor that could never be taken off, so thats why he appears that way

People claim that skull knight became an apostle himself but that is untrue. He just morphed in to an immortal creature that wore the berserker armor too often. His kingdom was old too, so the dwarves could've fashioned two, in case that one was gone or they may have made multiple sets that were lost over time.

@91Tribual It's a nightmare sequence/magic hallucination from the manga. He sees all his old unit. He isn't forced to kill them like in this, but he realizes they're not real, and they all melt away.
Needless to say, the magic user that did that to him came to regret it. Vastly.
I played that sequence, and it's funny to me! Mainly because the only "Counter" that Corkus has is falling over backwards and crawling away from Guts like a bitch.

I would love to get a chance to play a new Berserk game. As things are now, I won't be able to play this game for years. Just imagine what they could do with the current technology. This game looks amazing as it is, but an upgraded version would be truly fantastic.

@r4mzi Not to sure about that. Griffith would of killed them if that was true but he didn't. He protected Casca from falling boulders(due to his body coming from her child) and halted the fight between Guts and Zodd. Hell, he even asked Guts to rejoin him like an idiot.

that isn't how sacrifices work. It doesn't matter if they live or die, that's just gravy. It's about severing a person's ties to humanity. All that matters is that those who are sacrificed are forsaken. Griffith forsook Guts, severing his humanity in the process... so the sacrifice is complete, Guts is just a loose end.

@r4mzi Griffith is just an overly egotistical asswipe that deserves his punishment for what he did to gatsu, Cask and the band of the hawk.
He'll get his sooner or later. He doesnt think much of gatsu even though it was directly and entirely because of gatsu why griffith was able to get his newfounded power by helping griffith kill all of those enemies.
Griffith should give him some acknowledgement. I just hope gatsu hacks that son of a bitch to pieces.
