The thing with Idvd is that it won't burn videos longer than 120mins and I have 3-4 hour videos! just burning a dvd in xilisoft right now because Toast is really slow at converting .avi. like the best quality takes 12+ hours to convert

@ejaworek Yeah I've tried burning like 5 different .avi files and it's never worked, I'm pretty sure it's not compatible with iDVD. If you want to convert it to something that works like .m4v or mp4, you have to download an application. I tried using websites to do it but none of them seem to be able to handle a full-length movie. You can download the isoftsky demo for free, only downside is that it takes a while to convert and it leaves a logo(watermark) on the video when it's done.

Hey! How do you burn a dvd from a video that is VOB file... after ripping the video from a dvd using MactheRipper... it automatically makes it a VOB file. Which I downloaded VLC to be able to view them. but now how do I burn them onto a DVD? GREAT videos btw- BIG help!

i recommend using handbrake because it converts the movies to a better file that's compatible with Idvd

you can get the movies on any site, like demonoid, isohunt, or piratebay. The only bad thing is that they are recorded on a cam so the quality isn't that good.

Which program do you use more: iDVD or Xilisoft DVD Creator. Is there a noticeable quality difference? I'm just wondering. I mean if the quality isn't that much worse then I'll use it 'cause I don't feel like waiting 6 hours for one DVD.

Also, do you know if these DVD's will work in a DVD player or only on my Mac?

I use xilisoft more because it's quicker and there isn't a size limit. the quality isn't that much worse but it is worse and you can use the dvd anywhere not just the mac.

sorry for replying so late but yes it will separate the two movies so in the menu screen it will give the two options of which movie you want to watch. i did it with my evil dead trilogy and it works fine.
