@205whiteboy Just do 3 sets of 10 every evening before bed or every morning when you get up. Only reason you will fail is if you don't keep at it. It's hard at the start until you notice a change and realise hey this is actually working (which it will)!! then it is easy to keep at it.
@205whiteboy do em slowly, don't hurry it. many guys do em fast and don't even do em properly... lie down on the ground (face facing the ground) and put your palms on the ground at the level and as close as to the shoulder - this is your stance, you can wider it but the more you wide it the harder they get. Now get up on your hands and straighten your back, keep your legs close. When you do a push-up go down so you almost touch the ground and up all the way, eyes looking straight.
@205whiteboy as for how much an how often, there are no limits. but if you are at a beginning stage i would say 3 times a day 2-3 sets at around 10-15 reps just to get you started. ;)
the secret to all exercises is the repetition and the strong will. if you are willing and keep doing them at a regular basis you will hit the 100 even more! hard work pays off

Try the Navy SEAL Challenge Program Regimen. Swim 500 yards and immediately do 100 pushups in 2 minutes. When you can do that, then you will gain the respect you deserve. (Not to mentions the situps, pullups, and run you have to complete afterward)
Not trying to be a dick but you need a few corrections. Hard to tell from the angle but it looks like your arms are going 90 degrees, you should practice full ROM (chest to the ground). Also you're taking breaks which makes the feat much less impressive. See how many consecutive you can do with full ROM and no breaks and work from there. Doing 130 improperly isn't really an accomplishment, you are only cheating yourself.
considering a proper push up is only considered to be a few inches from the gorund, he could quite possibly be doing these completely right. And those breaks don't make anything easier, it gives you time to regulate your breathing more than anything. You're still working all the muscles
