Cugat of course enjoyed a decades-spanning international career. Abbe was a nice Jewish girl who made a remarkable career as a Latin entertainer. She was enormously talented and made a fortune for RCA Victor records with her outstanding LPs. She often does not get the recognition she deserves a singer; as her recordings document, she is a top-level talent.

It's amazing how they never seem to close in on the identity. They're ice cold until someone gets it seemingly out of nowhere.

I had no idea that these two had any connection at all. I certainly never saw Abbe Lane until she was much older

Xavier married both Abbe and Charo. There ought to be a law about hogging too much talent.
