I'm glad it finally got a theme song. I am pretty conflicted since I don't want a PSP but i'd like to replay persona 1 proper. I just hope people aren't gonna go into this and expect something like persona 3 and 4.

I agree, but at the same time this will decide who the Persona fans REALLY are and who is just in it because of the graphics, J-pop and anime.

You have issues don't you? Some of the fans may like the games for its characters and story which is why most people like it. And don't try and say im one of the ''new'' fans since I'm not. I've played every one so far including the other SMT games.

which is good. I find people who play the other SMT games are alot more open to the older games than the ones who started with P3 and P4. Ive met people who dont even care to look up any other SMT games and who only care about the PS2 persona's. That makes me sad because these are awsome games. Lets hope this remake opens their eyes a bit. Maybe people will like this better than the newer persona games and want P5 (if there is one) to be more like these without the S links and annoying calander.

I know what you mean but you don't have to be so mean about it. The other SMT games are REALLY good but has a different style from most other rpgs (Nocturne) and I guess that some of the fans don't enjoy that different style lol.

Persona has always been about character interaction, and SMT has always been about tucking in your gut and punching the end of the world... alone. Two different philosphical points here. As MegaTen games, P3 and P4's callender system and S links were amazingly meaty and provided the character interaction that enthusiasts' craved. It also made up for the somehwhat lacking difficulty and story dialogue, allowing you to expand and experience all the character developement you could ever ask for.

I just hope they keep some of the old musical style, rather then completely shifting it to P4 and P3s. Its all right, but the original's music was one of the things that drew me to it so strongly despite its well, flaws.

You're missing out on alot then. Persona 2 is just epic. I had played 3 first, like most, and when I played both Persona 2's, I was just like "whoah." The plot is really good.

I hope extra features are included like references to a possible way to save our good ol' P3 protagonist or something...That having been said, I seriously hope this Persona game is a remake instead of just a port. Persona 1 was pretty clustered.
