ive been carp fishing for 3 years (im 14 now) and the best rig that involves the lost skill to land the fish with is a 1inch long 1/2 inch wide hook with a bread ball. i catch about 4 carp a day wit that
Dear puail but I donot now how u spell it i have watched your carp fishing video and I thort they were very handey to use as I am only 11 yers old and I have onaly been fishing over a year and a half I find that ther are very good tips pleas would u beable to give me some tips on pike baitsand if u could tal me how to mack boylies. your sesealy A.Bryan-Jones
i didnt see if u strip bak some of the coating on the braid cz iv used blak silf 4 a number of yrs now n iv found by stripin it bak the hook flips over mre
Sorry if my question is a little muddled ive been out all night with mates and just got in (10.06 am!), so ive had an ear bashing from the wife and im knackered. However im off fishing tomorrow so need the help asap. Ive been fishing tight line from my rod to lead and now ive realised thats all wrong!.. the fish are deffo spooking and im getting lots wacks on my line. Anyway again any help would be great and again sorry for the muddled request for it lol. xo)
There are a number of ways of pinning your line down. The best I've found is to use a good quality flouro-carbon line like Xline or similar. I've been using this for 4 years+ and find it sinks like a stone. I combine this with the MCF Rattler indicators which are an excellent indicator for slack line fishing.
This has been a winning combination for me and others.
Use a very light (fox mk II) or what have you indicator with my alarms (the lightest conditions allow).. surely that slack effect which will have the line on the bottom is better than a back lead and deffo better than a leadcore leader? I am not saying it is im asking as i really need help. Im not using leadcore until i really know how to use it safely. Id rather not catch (as always lol) than hurt a carp personally. If anyone could take the time to maybe help me a little id really appreciate it
I need some help if anyones kind enough to educate me. I want to pin my line down ok, however i will not use my leadcore ive bought as i dont know how and thats unsafe fishing. I love my fish. Secondly backleads?. naf up ya bite indication or at best ruin it a little?. so am i correct in thinking that using a running ledger, cast out and let the line slack for like 5 minutes after the lead hits then surely the line will be on bottom. Reel in until i feel first bit line lifting?. and thats best?.
the best way to fish carp is to get a slice of bread and wrap it into a ball around the hook and let it sit at the bottom of th lake...works evreytime! chum with corn
if no1 used boilies, pellets, paste etc then specimen carp would still be falling lob worms all day... i use boilies but would rrather used sumin natural
because braid acts more natural in the water its more suttle so when a carp moves its tail it moves naturally wit the lake bed hope that answers ur question
I am addicted to fishing with breadflake / or a lil' crust off-the-top, with a controller float, and 3 foot hooklength...ADDICTED, unfortunately, cos i don't think i'll 'ever' go back to stick floating for fish ;-(
thanks for the help.... i am 16 and have been match fishing as long as i can rember... and my m8s do carp fishing... i got the gear and the 2nd time i went i got two 12lb and 1 9 and a half pound.. thanks for the help just hope it helps.. il try it next time i go. thanks again.

I'm still no convinced that a different rig can make the difference
wether you use stif rigs, coated braid, etc. is realy important but realy all those tiny little things
