it doesnt require much power as a normal lcd screen would do, epaper only charges when display changes, in other words, once a page is loaded, even you cut down the power the page will still be there
What's really bizarre about this video is that when they do the google search, my brain fills in the colors of the letters in the word "Google" even though I know the screen is black and white.
im about to purchase an ebook reader... im looking at the sony reader and the iliad... i stay in india and my uncle will be purchasing it and sending it to me from USA... i will be mainly using it in skl as i hav all my books in PDF and I do a lot of RSS reading everyday... is the sony or the iliad better? is the web browsing pleasant on the iliad? i hav wifi at home... howmuch does the iliad cost?
iliad hands down for pdf, next to impossible in the sony unless it's a very small page. Web browsing is pleasant but very rudimentary simple. Iliad with wi fi at 600 euros, without (book edition) 500. Go to mobile read . com to find out more.
I sure hope you are right! I just ordered the Iliad Book Edition. So far, I have downloaded over 300 eBooks in anticipation of getting it. BTW, I also got them all for free!
If this works, it has already paid for itself as opposed to buying paper books. That will be etter environmentally, too.
well it will work fine, don't worry. Only thing is that it's expected that a larger screen size ebook reader will be out in a few months (october) and probaly irex might have something in store in terms of a v. 3 iliad. But you'll already have yours and put it to good use.
