  • If you take Jack she says: Heh...Funny.

  • you had legion on your team already??? i know everything about mass effect i even know how to make ashely and kaidan survive in ME1 BUT I HAVE NVR SEEN LEGION THAT EARLY ON IN THE GAME....wait i know how you did it lol nice joke...lol you waited a while to finally recruit grunt huh

  • @glenboy24 Actually, you were supposed to be able to unlock any of the characters at any time. But with the Xbox 360 having only HD DVD there was not enough room on the disk for you to be able to unlock all of the characters at any time that you wished, they had to split it up and only allow you to acquire the characters in a pre-specified order.

  • pretty strange that characters like legion, tali and thane have special dialogues when they shouldnt even be available

  • they probably recorded all conversations, before choosing which character will be unlocked after freedom progress

  • @glenboy24 Tali and Legion were both meant to be available from the start (after Freedom's Progress), and there was even plans for Legion to be the one helping Liara recover Shepard's body at the beginning of the game, after the destruction of the Normandy, instead of Feron, but that idea got dumped because Legion would be explaining to Liara who/what he is and why he wants to save Shepard's body from the Collectors, and later he tells Shepard the same things, so it would've been redundant.

  • Ok, his "I thought so" is so far the one line of ManShep's that I genuinely like.

  • @glenboy24 Well, the way I look at it, getting Tali later in the game is more gratifying when you finally get her. Kind of like, "aw man, FINALLY! TALI'S ON MY TEAM!" I say it would have been nice to get her early, but worth the wait.

  • It appears that Tali was supposed to be unlockable at Freedom's Progress or shortly after you recieve the dossiers and then you can recruit her. She has unique dialogue for every mission I believe.

  • Fuck default face male shepard.

Thought I was the only one.

  • @westsidepride69 sorry meant to say fuck YEAH.

Because default face male shepard is best shepard.

  • In soviet Rannoch, nice touch scare you!

  • Can't you do this without a mod by going to freedoms progress before recruiting the krogan.

  • this was so random yet so funny.

  • does it mess up with the missions alot if u get tali and legion on ahead? or do u still get to go and save tali in an example?

  • the scare wuz nice ruuuur!

  • DAMN U PC

  • @glenboy24 Most if not all the NPCs have unique dialog for every mission after Freedom's Progress. Probably Bioware recorded all the dialog before they knew what order players would be able to recruit the NPCs.

  • I had Garrus and Miranda with me during that mission, for me it was Garrus who said that

  • Tali: I thought the scare was a nice touch <3

  • @dementedsantaclaus Actually, Legion isn't a renegade Geth, in fact he is a normal Geth and the one's you've been fighting are Heretic Geth who broke away from the main geth network and worship the Reapers. Normal Geth are quite peaceful and make no strives toward conquest.

Yes, I know I'm a nerd. Sue me.

  • @uberrulez103 lmao ur not a nerd legion tells u

  • @uberrulez103 No worse then the rest of us who love this game.

  • @uberrulez103 You aren't a nerd in a bad way. You just have played through the game and payed attention like people should. In ME3 I hope we see more of the Non-Heretic Geth. Like an actual mission with them helping out. Plus I want Joker to have a more active role. I loved his little mission he had. I am a nerd too. Bri Bri 82 is my Bioware profile. Hope to see you out there in the discussion.

  • @uberrulez103

it's not nerdy to use your ears and....hey listen!

  • @uberrulez103 You're a nerd, but being a nerd is a damn good thing ;)

  • @TNTLotLP True dat, nerdism rules

  • @uberrulez103

    oh, what? this....

you're like describing the muslims! especially that "strive toward conquest" comment that reminds me of -jihad-.

ey ok, srry for bringing this up. let this not derail anything. for start, i won't talk about this implication anymore.

  • @uberrulez103

I sue you for being a bigger nerd than I! XD Nah jk

  • @uberrulez103

Beware though... Normal Geth ARE the one in war against the quarian. They are still a sentient race who waged a war that led to the massive exile of a whole race and it's relentless hunt throughout space. (kof kof Battlestar Galactica... darn even the abandonned base from Legion's loyalty mission look like a cylon mothership)

  • @darkfelony In fairness, making no comment as to whether or not the idea was ripped off from galactica, the Quarians did create a sentient race, use them for slave labour and when the Geth decided they weren't happy about the arrangement, the Quarians attempted to commit genocide. Overall, the Quarians got what was coming to them.

  • @randomface54 Based on conversations with Tali from ME1 the Quarians attacked the Geth first in a pre-emptive strike after the Geth started asking existencial questions. The Geth didn't actually say or make know that they were unhappy with their lot.

    Just a nit-pick really.

  • @KamiKaZantA Sentient beings being used for slave labour. It's generally taken as read that they wouldn't be happy with it which is why the Quarians attacked to prevent an inevitable revolt against them.

  • @randomface54 Yes, I am just sayan.

  • @uberrulez103 Everyone watching this video is a nerd, you're just better at it.

  • @uberrulez103 Not really.

  • @uberrulez103 I am a nerd as well so don't feel bad man

  • @tvirus1234 You both are so sued.

  • @uberrulez103 So Legion isn't a renegade Geth, it's every other Geth we see that's renegade.

Mass Effect really likes going with the "I'm not wrong, it's everyone else who is!" line, and making it the truth.

  • @GSSAGE7 I'm not sure what your saying, the Geth have two fractions. One is good and the other is evil(in the simplest terms). I don't see the hang up.

  • @matjacks100 I'm not saying Legion is wrong. Keep in mind how the Galaxy at large (or at least the Council), takes Shepard's warnings about the Reapers.

  • @GSSAGE7 Alright, Got ya.

  • @uberrulez103 although he is an upgraded version

  • @uberrulez103 Ah yes. 'Nerds' An alternate race of beings who know everything and are very awesome. We have accepted that claim.

  • wait wait wait wait, who is next to to Tali...

  • @glenboy24 My guess is that the devs just said "fuck it, we might as well put all the voices in" to seal up any cracks. She also welcomes Garrus when you first meet him again.

  • Wait you need mod to unlock her?

    Can I get that mod?

  • @glenboy24

Yeah, Tali has unique dialog for every mission in the game after Freedom's Progress. It appears she was intended to be unlockable early,

  • @lolSergio to bad they can only be heard by people on the pc

  • @lolSergio You can pretty much skip recruiting most characters in the game if you really felt like it. Just do a lot of side missions and the story will progress further without the squad mates you didn't recruit. Mordin is probably the only one you have to recruit, so the possibilities in squad interactions are pretty much endless.

  • @lolSergio I think that everyone in the game was actually intended to be unlocked in the very beginning of the game, including legion.

  • @lolSergio Jack sucks

  • @lolSergio i think the reason behind "everyone having specific chat lines" depends solely on who's on the mission with you, they even have those dialogues FOR Freedom's Progress, not that they intended for them to exist, I think they're just based on who's with you, rather than team availability... (I THINK)

  • @lolSergio At first, the game was supposed to allow you to recruit anybody at anytime, but it was to much data, which is why there are two disks (for 360) At least thats what I think.

  • @lolSergio From what I understand, BioWare had originally intended for you to be able to recruit most, if not all, companions in any order you wanted. It was only later on that they decided to tie the recruitments more tightly into the story, especially Legion. He has dialogue for as early as recruiting Garrus.

  • @lolSergio I think Bioware does it just for "lulz." they have dialouge from every squad member on all of the early missions otherwise inaccesible to them.

  • @lolSergio If I had to guess, I would say she was originally supposed to be unlocked when you first meet her. Makes sense.

  • @Mysterious0Bob Every character has dialogue for all missions. Even ones you unlock very late (Tali, Legion Samara etc) It would seem BioWare split up the recruits due to me2 needing two discs on xbox 360.

  • @lolSergio

Just about every character has unique dialogue in missions that take place earlier than when you would normally recruit them. I think it all would have worked out better if you could have recruited the characters in any order you would have wanted.

  • @lolSergio Nah. It was just made with the ability to have characters interact correctly in any situation. Meaning, even if it may never be used, the programming exists for every mission. (Except thier own recruitment mission).

  • @lolSergio actually you can unlock her before you go on okeers mission, the only squad member required for the first fight with the collectors (drawing a blank on the planets name) is Mordin

  • @lolSergio you have to play the game through for a second time with the same character, and then you can choose by yourself when to recruit which character ;)

  • @lolSergio Nah, every character has dialogue for every mission because Bioware wanted the gameplay to be smooth, even is a save editor was used.

  • @lolSergio All the characters do, they were all programmed and it's debatable that the original intent was for anyone to be unlocked at any time, but then it seems the Bioware changed that and made the story a little bit more linear for some reason or another

  • @iceman9073421 i would say it was because the xbox version was on two discs and doing it this way meant that the player wouldn't have to switch back to disc 1 till omega 4

  • @Kayem237 That could very well have been the reason, but honestly they could've put all the characters on the same disk, and then switched it around so that other content was on the other disk, or....xbox could go Blu-ray......so we wouldn't have this problem in the first place, just my two cents haha.

  • @lolSergio she was. Personally i think that's the reason Why Freedom's Progress looks so much like Haestrom: That was Bioware developers being lazy.

  • you make me jelous

    *glares at 360*

  • @FsDxRAGE The 360 is a machine made by the very gods we live under, it, its truly a masterpiece, but when the red ring glow, anger starts to build up inside you, just trying to keep it all inside, but without succes, you kill the one standing next to you, the xbox 360 still is a glorious masterpiece, with its flaws
