  • Obama: Congrats, how does it feel to be an American hero?

    Meyer: I gotta pee.

  • Going in rather than engaging at a distance... That's one bad ass sniper!

  • NEVER LEAVE A MAN BEHIND OOOOOHHHH FUCKING RAHHHH MARINE

  • Mans got a good sense of humor for the shit hes seen...

  • "Sgt.Dakota Meyer, Medal of Honor "WINNER"....What a MORON..It isn't the lottery you half a brain Jack ASS, Letterman is a RETARD. YOU DONT WIN A MEDAL OF HONOR, YOU EARN IT THRU BLOOD, COURAGE, HONOR AND PAIN !!! Letterman YOUR A CHEATING SCUMBAG!

  • @T1isMe Yeah i know. I got quite angry as well when I heard him say that.

Fucking stupid Letterman. Retire you old coot!

  • The three dislikes are probably people disliking the fact that a commie pinko like Dave disgraced this fine young Devil Dog with his slimy worm-ridden presence!

  • bad ass

  • Who ever hit the dislike button, should go die, this man is a HERO

  • This is why David Letterman is the best late night host. It's not just the celebrities that matter, however, it's those who provide us with the liberties and freedoms that makes our country special.

  • dude as seen some shit for sure. thank you Sgt. Meyer you are a good man and a great solider.

  • I'm a Marine and have been for 6 years.. but when I compare myself to this Marine, I feel useless...

  • Just look at his eyes, he has seen some shit.

  • i wonder if david made a contribution to the scholarship fund from the $25 million he earns each year ...?

  • @swisstankman Spot on, But these are the people that use a relgion, just like ali, did to not go to Vietnam etc.

  • Cool guy.

  • Out-fucking-standing Marine! Oorah!

  • who care's he is still a fucking hero. nice job Dakota. and fuck that reporter to say that.

  • 1 Taliban disliked this!!

  • Comment removed

  • No surprise to hear they over expressed his story. Even sadder to hear the white house were bitching they needed more MoH recepients.

  • Very cool.

  • I can't believe he doesn't even mention Army Captain Will Swenson. Swenson deserves the MOH and Meyer has been quoted as saying without Swenson he ould have been killed.

  • Thank you Sir, you are a true Patriot and you served your Country admirably Marine!

  • Since Medal of Honor recipients can nolonger see combat, any idea what Sgt. Dakota Meyer is up to now?

  • @bwbk007 yea he jus got fired from BAE systems for whistleblowing the fact that they were selling thermal imaging rifle scopes to pakistan., who in-turn were selling them to taliban forces.., he was then blackballed from other military contracters jobs., so he's pretty much been spit on in the civilian sector for telling the truth , no obama coming to his aid either., only like helping him out when theyre in the picture., when it helps there political careers., sad really, look it up on google

  • @MultiSr16 lol, selling to the Taliban? where did you get that information, from fox?

  • @BDFPA no, it came as a press release from mr meyer actually., it wasnt him selling the thermals idiot, it was BAE systems, and since its public knowledge that the military industrial complex funds the terrorists, im sure mr meyer just stumbled upon that fact and got fired cause he's a patriot.,, lucky he didnt get done up like pat tillman when he got mad about us growing the opium...

  • there is no proof that he was shot on purpose and if it is found that they did they should be tried for it. There is nothing worse then killing a fellow soldier.

  • @thereddog223 yea but there is evidence of a deliberate cover-up., the lying is what has to stop..i dont like when my government lies to me, but thats really all they do anymore., that has to stop..,

  • I dunno bro it sucked one way or another have you served?

  • Comment removed

  • Thank you sir

  • @MultiSr16 The governments job is preservation of the government, as is the job of a squirrel the survival of the squirrel. You might want the government to give you backrubs, but thats the job of a masseuse. You want truth, you can't really get that anywhere but experiencing situations for yourself.

  • @carmend1665 at least put some random shit up and some pics if your gonna post from shill accounts., damn you gubernment idiots aren't very bright huh, the people are onto your trash., confligrations coming bootlicker !! hahahah

  • If you receive the MoH, you will never see combat again. Think of the morale hit it would be to lose a recipient to enemy fire. And the morale boost the E would get from killing one.

  • God bless our country lol

  • 1 dislike i got to say i expected more... But god bless this man

  • 1 person is that Marine recruiter.

  • He's a Marine Sniper... Hello Leroy Jethro Gibbs in reality!

  • @hitman3133 - that low-life who said he received TWO Medals of Honor is lying through his teeth. NO one who served in VIetnam received two of them. Bet he's lying about other parts of his service too. You can look up the names and citations of the TRUE Medal of Honor service men on the Net. Look up his name, you'll see that he is NOT a recipient of the Medal of Honor...then go and tell him to his face he's lying. Semper Fi

  • See, not everybody in kentucky fucks there cousin! WE GET FUCKING MEDAL OF HONORS! Sad fucking part is though, My dad knows a guy here in kentucky that has 2 of these fuckers and guess what? THE GODDAMN PRESIDENT DIDN'T GIVE HIM HIS AND HE'S A FUCKING VIETNAM VET. Bullshit...

  • @hitman3133 The site with the names of the TRUE heroes who were awarded the Medal of Honor is at For more about low-life wannabee scumbags who claim awards that they didn't earn, do a search for the POW Network web site and go to the "phonies" pages. Thousands of dirtbags like your so-called hero who impersonate REAL heroes...Semper Fi

  • @rv6builder I think only Dan Daly got two, but that was for WWI so I guess rules were different back then, and changed somehow.

  • @deguimerautube You are correct that Daly was awarded two...one was for heroism during the Boxer Rebellion in China (1900), the other was in WW1. Semper Fi

  • @hitman3133 You can be recommended for several Medals of Honor for service, however you can only recieve 1. Look up Colonel Robert L. Howard

  • @scottdybdahl amen to that brother

  • @scottdybdahl The Medal of Honor is not a service award, it is an award for heroism. Also, there is no prohibition on receiving more than one. However, any second and succeeding awards would be indicated with a "...suitable bar, emblem, or insignia to be worn with the decoration and corresponding rosette or other device." That is how other awards are treated, in that succeeding awards are indicated with a bronze or silver star placed on the medal or ribbon.

  • @rv6builder , in reference to multiple awards you are correct except for The Medal of Honor which can only be received once per lifetime. An example of this is Col Robert L. Howard. He was nominated three times for three different actions but could only receive one. After World War 1, it was changed to one per lifetime.

  • @rv6builder incorrect, you can only recieve 1 MOH

  • @MultiSr16 My bad. The web site I was reading was wrong...figures. Semper Fi, John

  • @MultiSr16 You are incorrect. Dan Dailey Smedley Butler two Marines that have recieved the Medal of Honor twice

  • @mjcote87 yeah i agree., but its been changed since.., smedly is the MAN though for sure., shoulda got 5 of em.., but i think its been updated.

  • what a hero!

  • He is a hero and doesn't even know it. That is why he is.....a hero.

  • This is the level of courage that every american should have. What happened to our people? I salute you though sir. A true Hero.

  • SEMPER FI !

  • a beer with the president....CLASSIC!!!

  • Who's got the balls to hit the "Dislike" button.

  • @degarmo187 one douchebag got...

  • @degarmo187 BALLS OF STEAL!

  • @degarmo187

I've got the balls to dislike, but I won't. What I disliked was the US journalist calling it the "Congressional Medal of Honor". She doesn't even know what it's called. Idiot.

  • This guy is very well composed... A true hero.

  • We need to clone this guy

  • What should happen after this ambush and the loss of our people?

What Caesar would do is what we should do:

The town of Ganjgal should be razed to the ground. All residents put to the sword. All water sources within 20km poisoned for 100 years.

That is what I would do if I were commanding in Afghanistan. That is what the Taliban understands - they don't negotiate and we shouldn’t either.

  • @SirKnightErrant which would lose the hearts of other Afghan people who already resent Americans, which would increase the number of afghans joining the Taliban, and then you got the afghan soldiers who fight with us, and have some training and, most importantly, information on troop concentrations and such, might join the Taliban bringing training, weaponry, and info to the Taliban. some might even become spies who could out more intel about our troops. now is that smart?

  • @lteagle101 I know, I know. I am fairly well acquainted with the latest civil affairs doctrine.

Still I can dream can’t I? Luring our troops into a trap invokes certain feelings in me.

  • Why isn't he on the front of the Wheaties box? We should put some real Heroes on the front of the box for a change.

  • what people dont see is in battle it turns into fighting for your brothers and sisters in arms and all the political crap has no importance

  • Love him :D

  • God bless, and the guy is hilarious

  • what dakota said about what obama said to him?

"make a good education... he talked about not making... ????? "

    what?

  • @agostinhohipona "... making rash decisions"

implying the decision he made to defy orders

  • Semper Fi, Sgt Meyer. You are a credit to the Corps and the United States. May God bless you in the future.

  • Semper Fi! Hoorah!

  • He's not aware of the education bubble.

  • I'm an Army guy with a question to any Marines watching this. When Meyer got the medal, he got it with a neck strip. I see he's not wearing it now. Is there any reason for this? Does the high collar of the Marine dress blue mean you don't wear any neck straps?

  • @srithikdatta it's tucked under the collar. The Coat doesn't have lapels like the Army uniforms.

  • @SergeantDizzle00 gotcha, thanks.

  • @srithikdatta I think it could just e that the straps are tucked into the collar...I don't know for sure but that's my best guess...I never heard of anything involving a uniform regulation for the medal of honor

  • @srithikdatta seems to be new...Had the same question...im sure its within regs...but that isnt something thats covered extensively in or uniform regs for obvious reasons.

  • Let's honor Dakota and meet his "Challenge to America." Make a gift to his charity partner, Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation.

  • "I had gone and accepted, it was just a matter of when" wow, what a hero.

  • US MARINE CORPS, OOOOOOORAH!

  • @HatterMadigan

    relax pacino

  • You can just see his demeanor change when Letterman brings up the incident. Such a modest guy, he makes it sound so nonchalant when he said he made 5 trips in, and 'linked up' when in reality he was pulling wounded into the humvee under heavy fire and firing at the Taliban

  • God bless Dakota Meyer, a kick ass Kentuckian.

  • @Micknotic

    and has german genetics ;)

  • thats muffed up its 2011 and there are still people who are killed on the field of combat

    battle zones and ish

  • All Dakotas rock (my names Dakota also)
