Its a cartridge for the ds. It comes with a little Micro SD chip and a reader. You put the Micro Chip into the reader and download games off the internet. The more GB on the Micro SD the more games you can hold. Then you put the micro SD into the R4 cartridge in the slot at the side and play the games. This is illegal but everyone does it. the suggested Micro SD card size is 2GB which hold an average of 35-40 Games depending on the size.

cool, i can't wait til i get a dsi but it wont be for a while. as for game recommendations. it depends on you likes and dislikes, some new release titles that are good are like pokemon platnium, gta chinatown (really recommmended), ninjatown, and henry hasworth. if u tell me what genre u like and the type of gamer you are (hardcore, variety (me) :D, causal, i can give u more recommendations

ninjatown is a tower defense game that requires a lot of stategy in the later levels, as for rpg, theres so many good ones, like final fantasy and chrono trigger (i never played this but ppl who have love it) i think u should check out retrocalypse videos. he is so much better than me and knows so much about the ds. i bet he game give you hundreds of great games to fit ur likes. good luck on ur new games that ur getting :D sorry i wasnt much help lol
