When I first watched this movie I was 15, and it has changed my life forever. Now, 21 years later I ride my own Harley on the long roads of my country, Brazil, where I can also see amazing landscapes like these and meet incredible people during the trips. In those moments I always think how glad I have to be for living in great country experiencing all the freedom of the roads and the rumble of the engine. Thanks for posting this beautiful sequence of the film.

I guess Robertson is still culling the credits from this, too. Why is it though, that the Weight seems to be the #1 song associated with The Band? What drew me in as a 13 year old in '73 was "Don't Do It", and "Stage Fright" from Rock of Ages, etc. Rick Danko always seemed so endearing. I wonder if my guess is right.

The producers/editors of the movie soundtrack has replaced The Band's Weight with a version of the Weight by a group called Smith. you can find this fact on the liner notes. I own the Smith CD' and it's a pretty cool band, on it's own right.
