Is it me or do people just not know how to dash...When Emperor Mateus is charging that skill, it's easy to stop by dashing at him before he finishes since it has a long charge...
Golbez isn't underpowered, he can chain dirty combos like a pro.
The Emperor isn't cheap. I mean, he has two HP attacks (technically three, but one is a homing Flare and the other is a Mine Flare) and his other HP attack, while unavoidable, takes 8 seconds to charge. Everything else is just his style, it'd be like calling Exdeath cheap because of his blocks, or Jecht for his combos.
@PrismRed yeah sometimes he is an ass to fight to... the most characters I hate to fight to are CoD, Golbez and Kuja all the others for me are easy I must say I'm an Emperor and Jecht player and those three always are pissing me off.
lol wtf the golbez didnt even try to attack you 2 times when u were loading starfall. every one knows u have to prefent emperor of using starfall. i mostly rush at him with my jecht and then block before him making him stop it. works every time when i play against my friend .
The emperor really can't be consider cheap, mainly cause he is a Trap Master, so most/all his moves make him sem cheap. really the only move that is cheap is Starfall, since once hit by a meteor you cant espace, but the 8 second charge gives ya an opening though.
Pfft, Starfall not being escapable, I've seen the AI dodge out of it twice, and when I try it I get annihilated.
And for Starfall's long casting time, I usually send out both flares and keep close to the orange one in case they try to do something cocky, not to mention it has magic shield, so I'm even safe from most magic projectiles.
I'am really only saying its not escapable through my own experience. Every time I've used Starfall, which i've used alot, I have never seen a comp. dodge/get out of it. Every time they get hit by atleast 1 meteor, they get hit by everything else. But you probably might be right
After hitting an opponent with starfall, plant a lightning crest right where they hit the ground so you can hit them again with flare or whatever you like. 2:59 was the perfect opportunity for it. Other than that, great playing.
you go to the abbilities section then press on air dassh or free air dash or reverse or omni air dash once you get it then youll dash depending on which you chose. that yellow ball is called dynamite. you get it at a certaint level

I like Golbez, so it's a bit of a shame to watch him get owned like this...
But awesome playing as the Emperor, makes me want to try him out!
