  • nice work man love it, you should come see zep boys in oz. totally awesome

  • SICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sounds great man, i love the kit also ludwig rocks!!!

  • Man, you play drums like my dad. This is exactly why I can't jam with him. His stone face drumming makes it weird. lol

    Great playing though.

  • @spicyMcHAGGIS9green haha! My smiles, and its kinda wierd, but not too bad.

  • great sound on the bass.... do you use any muffling? I guess bonzo ran his wide open. I use an Aquarian bass head and really like it

  • Wunderbar!

  • great drumming!

  • Too bad Zeppelin wasnt good live...Great job man. I can play it-just gotta work on the stamina.

  • @AznInvasion1990 Your mother's not good live -.-

  • AMAZING solo at the end

  • pretty good you should watch some of my vids and tell me wha you think

  • wow, 17 dislikes like mine; oh well, cant win em all.

  • Foot work is amazing along with everything you did just awesome dude. You're drumsets a beauty too

  • @usetheoven77

    thanks bro

  • @usetheoven77 not an an easy song to play, your immigrant version was much better.. good job and nice finish mate

  • Nice job man! Great attention to detail.

  • Bob Seger.

  • hey love that drum set um what mark of whats it called? i mean i know its a ludwig, but it has a resembles of a tama rockstar, what mark is it?

  • @rodolfo1673

Ludwig classic maple with the optional long lugs. Made in 2001.

  • you should record in drums on the left and the music on the right channel so I would play guitar over your drums. Very good job man.

  • u have no life.

  • Dude...3 words...you f*cking kick ass :) you rock :)

  • isso qye é rock é o melhor que já eskutei

  • you rock man!!

  • The drumming is good, but the singer is way off.

  • @Elmore3141 Hey man ,I made a comment like that ones and I'm Been getting so much crap, It's crazy, but you are right that guy was never good to sing then until now that his like 70.

  • I'm actually not THAT impressed, but I guess since I wouldn't play it even closely that good, I should shut up, right? :)

Question: What's with all that snare action? I sure Bonzo played so many snare ghost notes on that one? I tried to cover that song with my band, but I wasn't satisfied at all with the result, so I'm looking for clues...

  • @DrUmSensitive

You already answered your question...."what's with all that snare action"?

Try it and you will quickly discover what you were missing when playing that song. That's how Bonham played it...he used the groove from a Little Richard tune.

  • @GrooveDrummin Very good, bonzo only used the ghosts live, studio version is much different. I have all the tabs. Awesome job.

  • @DrUmSensitive

You weren't satisfied because your ghost notes where probably WAY no noticeable. Don't tense up.

  • Excelente!!!!!

  • But well done!!

  • No Bonham is not alive. He's using the wrong sticks.

  • @xrobwx

question: if he is using the wrong sticks, why does it sound good?

  • What's over there on the left that's so interesting?

  • it sounds like ur playin it a little slow

  • nice man.

    i love it...

  • Oh yeah I already subscribed...

  • you feel the groove nice one

  • Awesome

  • Great cover very nice cover!!!!

  • amazing !!

is that the LM402 supra snare ?

  • one question. What bass pedal do you recommend for power and speed? BEST cover on YouTube!!!!!!

  • Pearl Eliminator - very configurable

  • ok i'll check it out.

  • Thank you for watching and the great comment!

  • @GrooveDrummin Have you tried The demon Drive yet?

  • @paice95 or a ludwig speedking

  • of course!

  • You are great.

  • sick set

  • EPIC drum solo at the end!!!

  • Thank you!

  • No!!!!!!!! Why did it stop before that last cymbal hit? You have no idea how much I need that resolution after such an amazing cover.

  • hehe, actually that's where it stops, Page goes into next tune. Looks like I was going to do one more crash but good thing I didn't. Thank you so much!

  • Nice Kit.

  • WAy better than the others i've seen so far. AWESOME!

  • awesome 5 *'s buddy!

  • Finally someone who is not just playing dtiff-ass drums. You played with feeling man.

    Awesome job 10/10

    Subscribed

  • finally! i found a video where someone plays the grace notes..

  • Very nice...

great job on the ending.. I must say you have this tune nailed down

    10/10

  • GREAT!!

  • ya know ive played this song for a few years now and i noticed something was missing in my playing.. i gotta say adding the ghost notes on the snare during the entire song changes the dynamics of the song tremendously NICE WORK!!

  • :O must be fake, too good, way to good

  • raped it. very nice my friend!!

  • yes

  • That's great man, you got the left hand playing!! Great job!

  • es en el ''song remains the same'' ?? :D

  • i have a question, my drummer wants to get an 18" floor tom, is that even necessary? i never ever see them around.

  • It's like having a 5th bass string, not needed but adds more frequencies. If he already has a 16" he should go for it.

  • yeah hes got a 16". as well as a 8", 10", 12" 13" 14". all ludwig

  • that's a lot of drums! It's up to him but if it was me I'd say not. Leave it up to him though so there won't be any resentment.

  • i use the same setup bonham used with an 18" floor tom. it adds a lot better dynamics if you have a 16" floor tom too. i dont use the 18" one all the time but its really nice to have. even with all those drums he has it would be a nice add to his set because hes playing all smaller sized drums so it will add to the low ends on his sound which i personally think is better.

  • hum U_u nice but i saw all the drummers playing the intro with the sam way but my drum teacher shows me another way :x who can send me the intro tabs please :x ??!!

  • Ask your teacher to learn it properly then show you...technically, it's really not that hard but somewhat hard to play. OR watch a Zeppelin video.

  • Awesome.

  • Wow, really slowed down at the beginning but good job otherwise

  • no maybe "guys lets gooo"!!!

  • i think he says "Alright, here we go!"

  • If you listen to some bootlegs you'll hear Bonham begin the fill the same but would variate it towards the end. Depends on how he felt that night...You see me shake my head because I knew I went to far, but hey, it's Rock'n'Roll.

  • haha a little too much to drink and there you go hes on a roll of like a 2 minute ending fill.

  • i think you should stick with the fill bonham uses instead of trying to elaborate it at the end. The thing that makes a beautiful drum fill like that so satisfying is its breifness.

  • "the song remainst the same...it´s the fucking true"

  • do u no what hi-hats hes using

  • Paiste 14" Sound Creations w/sound edge.

  • I'm pretty sure Bonham used 15" Sound Edge Hi-Hats.

  • Bonham yes, but the hi-hats in this video are 14".

  • My mistake, I thought buddy was asking about what Bonham was using.

Yours sound great, I always wanted a set of 2002 Sound Edge but they are way to expensive for my budget.

    Keep up the good work.

    Bonzo Rules.

  • 2002 series

  • you nailed the ending dude !

  • bien tocado muy muy bien tocado you rules eh!! saludos desde Perú

  • Sick drum cover man. Lmao at ur hair in the solo at the end tho. (y)

  • LOL...just saw that now!

  • Yay, you did the intro correct! And got the ghost notes! I just figured out that intro. Starts on the & of 3! Check out the Little Richard tune, "keep a knockin", I think that's where Bonham got the idea.

  • dude that was great

  • this is insaine XD

  • you missed a couple of notes but other than that it was good, doeasnt sound like the song that much but loved the solo haha long but awesome. keep on drummn

  • Nice set up! Bonzo i beleive had 3 sets of drums and hat you have there was his first? with one floor tom missing though for his 68-70 era. Good skills on the exact beats.

  • Yeah, you got it.

I'm glad you liked it! Thanks!!

  • Well done!! I like the fact that you played the 8th notes on the snare (that's what swings it!!!) A lot of drummer's I've seen playing R&R just don't play it (Don't know or can't hear/feel it!!) and miss the most important element of Bonzo's playing!! Bonzo was a beautiful grace note player he was so dynamic!!

  • excuse me for my wrong english but i'm italian..however,could you tell me what is the exact name of your snare drum???please..i'm a fan of bonham but i can't find some informations about his snare drum..and also..is your snare made of steel or aluminium??thanks..

  • Aluminum LM402 Ludwig. Top head semi-tight, bottom head very tight.

  • Ludwig Supraphonic 402 snare 6.5x14 is what Bonham used.

  • im getting a new tama set sometime this weak... gonna throw me beaten up jazz set out the window >.> lol. i got off to a jazz start so i bought more of a jazz set.. once i got skilled enough to play some good, hard metal, i beat the crap out of it... lol commented earlier and i still love this song :). try a little more bass here and there though.

  • oddly, if you dont listen to where the cymbol is when your not playing it, it soungs totally different.

  • Pretty good. You got the ghost notes down, when you play them. He actually plays them all the way through the song. You did lose the groove a bit when the vocals came in. How much of the bass drum sound is yours? If what I heard is mostly your bass drum, it sounds KILLER! The kit in general sounds great.

  • Thanks and Thanks. Mostly my bass drum...pretty loud when I kick 'er hard :)

  • lol that song has alot of ghost notes in it, so annoying o.()

  • That's how it's done :)

  • Hey man, I'd love if you'd listen to my Moby dick and Good Times Bad times and tell me what you think too, lol :D

Love your style, sound and kit so much, I've seen all your videos and subscribed a while back ^_^

  • ive jus uploaded two vids, ones jus audio the other is video, the songs are custard pie and achilles last stand, av a listen n tel me wot u think

  • AMAZING playing!! Nice lookin kit, i love the finish on the shells, very 50's/60's jazz looking kit. Most people underestimate rock n roll for a gd song on drums but then they listen to the end solo and i jus wanna use their faces on the kit to play the solo. One question, du use the felt strips like bonham did? i cant see any on ur kit but im jus wonderin. Awesome playing!! especially the last solo, always hard to do it in the right time b4 the guitar n bass finish the song.

  • Thank you. No felt nor dampening, just a coated PS3 but I have a 4 3/4" port. Thanks again!

  • oh man, u roock, n koodos on that kit

  • Thsnk you!

  • Wow! It's amazing! :D

Which kit (configuration) do you use?

  • Ludwig 9ply maple: 26x14, 18x16, 16x16, 14x12 and the LM402 snare. Thank you!

  • YOU ARE BONHAM...

  • :))))

  • very good !perfect drumming!

    the drum set is fantastic

  • Thanks a lot!

  • Nice drumming dude!

Those 8th ghost notes on the snare are a pain to play all the way through!

    Fronzo

  • I'm not sure from memory if he played those on the studio recording, but only noticed him play the ghosted nare notes from about '77 or so, he definately doesn't play them at the MSG dvd gig, seen that too many times :)

  • that is a class video ! i liked the intro :D .. i did this song with a few of my mates on the last day of my school and it was videod .. ill send you a link soon

  • Yes, it is a fun tune :)

I'd love to see your video!

  • Nice! I like how you didnt play the intro open handed I hate it when people do that. Nice set too.

  • Double Thanks!

  • thats great dude, keep rockin, all your vids are good, keep em comin!

  • Thanks a lot, I'm glad you're digging it! More vids to come soon with better audio quality.

  • the song is perfect but the time is 4/4 no 2/4

  • Thanks! Don't let my left hand throw you off because those are all ghost notes except the shots on 2 and 4 which is played in 4/4. Watch Bonham do this song and you'll see what I mean :)
