  • this is the only commodore 64 commercial i remember lol

  • I wish someone would kick down my door. :(

  • Commondor 64 better than Windows 7

  • I still have have my Commodore 64C! Long Live the Commodore 64C!!!!!!! I always liked it better than the c64.

  • I love how you still had to use your imagination to transform the sprites into 3D colorful objects like would grace the software boxes.

  • I must admit that when I was about this boy's age I too would spend hours in my bedroom furiously gripping my joystick hard just just like him.

  • I still have my commodore 64, and a Tandy 1000 EX, Amstrad and TRS-80!

I had great parents, loved birthday's and christmas starting at 11 every birthday and christmas id get a computer of some sort, up to a IBM PS/2 then after the PS/2 I had to buy them :P

  • I just know that LSD was pretty popular in the 80's........

  • playing commodore 64 stoned is the best such a flash back

  • Commdore 64's 3D graphics pwn the Nintendo 3DS!!!

  • My friends are knockin' down my door

To watch some porn on my COMMODORE 64!

  • Where can I find the song in the commercial? It rocks!

I would like it on cassette so I can play it on my Walkman.

  • My Friends never broke the door when i had a C64.

  • @FuriousMechanic88 Me either. I was left alone most of the time playing it.

  • I can so relate! My friends are always trying to kick down my door too! Of course, they're trying to get out, not in.

    By "friends" I mean "prisoners".

    By "door" I mean "cage".

  • They must have been smoking the good stuff....

  • Add booze and its the perfect anaology for a demo party.

  • Those kids will never get in!

  • @exposed97 You need one of those security door braces which you can fasten to the door and no matter how many times they kick they will never get thru that door (unless they pound for an hour thru the actual wood)

There is a video on youtube by a security company showing two examples of a heavy person kicking a door with and without a security door brace which is pretty cool to watch.

  • I think it has more to do with the fact that his C64 generates video game ghosts that fly around the room.

  • XD

  • This is breaking and entering!

  • The only one's who are knocking down my door these days are the FBI..

    oh you Internet..

  • my friends dont come knocking down the door when i play on my pc.

Ah, 80s. You and your messages to kids.

  • their all high

  • Be a nerdy kid in the 80's and you'll get lots of friends :D

  • I loved the C64 and Amiga.

  • Cripes, with those friends kicking down my door and that huge jar of Kool-Aid knocking down my wall I never got any privacy in the 80s!

  • Best C64 ad ever. Anyone got it in higher quality please upload!

  • Lol if i got one my friends would be knocking down my door just to see what the fuck was C64 was

  • Just show the actual gameplay in this ad -_-

  • where is the sunny delight?

  • All the neighborhood kids go berserk because of C64. I like that!

  • wow!

  • is it legal to break someone's door like that o.0?

  • its mind boggling how they did this commercial in that day and age

  • Commodore revived!! (in 2005)

  • I kicked down my freinds door cuz he had one he got mad =[

  • @Georgeowns i kiked down my friends door and got shot with an airsoft gun and got smashed on the head with a crow bar

  • wait ! those arent my friends! thats the police!!! omg hide the porn quick!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • LOL bluescreen at the end :P

  • @rutgerhaase macs rule!!!!!!

  • Hey-hey ... I'm surfing the net on my C64!!!

To post this comment took me 2 years ...!

  • No wonder why those kids knocked down his door, it doesn't even have hinges on it.

  • FFriends still kick my dor down, but opinion is divided as to why.

I say it's because of my Commodore 64, but they say it's because I keep stealing their lawnmowers.

I offered to agree to differ but received a black eye. They must still be disgruntled Spectrum owners.

  • @OnlyGoodCommie some kids smashed intp my room at a party becuase I had macbook pro so I said holy shit these kids are strong so i grabbed my cabinet and threw it at the kids. One of them got knocked out. SO they took my girl friend prisonor i said no! so i grabbed a fry pan and threw it it missed and hit my brother. the kid grabbed a stick and smashed my skull. the kid stoal my macbook pro.

  • I think they knock your door down because in this day and age, they find it novel that someone still has a C-64, and they have to see it for themselves.

Or hey want their lawnmowers back.

  • @OnlyGoodCommie

was thet stealing lawnmowers a reference to a certain C-64 game? ;)

  • @Pappy55 Hoover Boover! Look it up! :-D

  • @Datan0de

I know I used to have it.. it was a rhetorical question :)

    I miss the c-64 days

  • cant wait for the commodore 248

  • It's already out in japan!

  • Awesome!

  • Check the game at 0:20 -- 'F-15 Strike Eagle' by Moby Games. It was an impressive flight sim for 64K. Fond memories there.

  • my friends still kick my door down cuz of my Commodore 64. :)

  • my friends still kick my door down cuz I stole their Commodore 64 XD.

  • I love a good C64 tune.

;D can't beat that SID sound.

  • Circa 1988 maybe?

Even then at the age of 8 I knew that the C64 didn't hold a candle to the next gen consoles of the day, be it the NES, SMS and soon to be unveiled Genesis.

That never stopped my from playing it as long as I could remember the universal command line: LOAD "*",8,1

  • Couldn't hold a candle to the NES or SMS?

Hehe you must be joking...the SID chip blew those both away for sound and the GFX of the 64 could certainly hold its own...Play any Epyx sports game on the 64 then either of those systems...nuff said.

They were both 8bit and on par with the 64 whereas the genesis was 16bit and yes certainly more advanced.

  • Sorry. I didn't mean to exclude the mighty SID.

That is where the 64 rightly spanked all of the competitors.

  • LOL I remember this commercial and the song to this day!

  • i had more friends because of my C 64

  • This must have been one of those Saturday morning ads. Obviously appealing to the younger set

  • best ad ever

  • Just imagine what would happen if you'd show such a commercial today *gg*
