If Gm folded today Holden in Australia would still survive simple don,t be fooled. It is only a matter of a different parent company taking over Holden as GM is a father company now to Holden.
i personally think if the brought the holden crewman out in the USA but the newer model the VEit would sell like made one of the most practical cars my mum has one and my dad has one as well as his monaro :) holden for life

Holden are releasing limited numbers of Pontiac G8 badged sedans, utes and sports wagons. Should be interesting seeing the two on the road. Maybe they should try this in the US

ya when the GTO/Manaro came here to the US i got hooked on the GMs from down under and i seen a G8 police car show car that looked bad ass i hop you guys start shiping them up here im getting tired of seeing out dated Crown Vics and Impalas

But where did Holden come from originally before it was bought out? Australia, the only thing that is american is the engine, thats all everything else is aussie
cause for some reason every pontiac built ever since the 04 gto HAD to have the same front facia. I don't know why, the firebird was the best looking car they're put out in the last decade and it didn't stick to the traditional split grill design. im a big pontiac fan, but i can't wait to see more holden conversions, especially the coupe 60 as a revived gto.

Just noticed some people have asked why the Coup 60 appears LHD.
It is not a LHD version at all.
The reason is obvious, the picture has been flipped horizontally.
Look at the Holden badge on the steering wheel center cap.
It's back to front, the Lion is facing to the right, instead of to the left. ;)

the engines are sourced from chevrolet though, alot of the previous commodores were designed by opel. the ve was designed wholly in australia.
