I found that if you use the same setting but with the the high turned down to 1/2 like the low, you can play sad but true, and is sounds FLAWLESS. I think you chose the perfect setting for Master of puppets though. Now I know what setting to play it in. So, thanks, and great job here dude.

scratch the smashing pumpkins off that list! they're alternative. You may as well call STP a grunge band too, although STP is 10x Better than the Smashing Pumpkins. But a agree, this kid should be playing speed metal on a grunge distortion. I have this pedal. Its not terrible. But Danelectro Fabtoner gives you a better grunge sound, they just gave this one a shit load of re-verb and called it grunge.

this is not the greatest demonstration...too much treble and overall bad settings and the equipment probably isn't flattering this pedal. This is actually a pretty versatile pedal. I use it for black sabbath stuff, zz top, van halen and other classic rock stuff. You just have to mess w/ the settings. Its a good buy :)

just bought this pedal 2 week ago from a shop near me that is shutting down. Cost me just 25 quid and it works so well. I use a Peavey X900c Mixer Amp running through a generic speaker cab so no overdrive (its for my bass more than guitar tho so this doesnt usually matter). I've used this pedal live with my bass it works wonders. Crank the bass on it up to pull of ace of spades XD

I don't know why people are so stupid. This pedal is one of the best pedal for metal but how the fuck do you want a good sound scooping the highs like hell? This is very bright sounding pedal itself. Some people use this pedal (which is made to get a mesa rectifier like distortion) with shitty little amps and they are suprised why it sound so fizzy, thin and crappy. Plug mesa head into little 6 inch speaker and you will see that it sounds like farting gay.
