When I got to this part as a kid, I used to think after two minutes, "Huh, I guess you can't drown, " therefore I was perfectly relaxed to solving this puzzle. I lived in ignorance of this until several years later, when I saw the drowned Guybrush in a magazine as a teenager I thought. "Holy shit! You could drown!?"
