  • I can not get enough of watching this video! I love watching it over and over again! It makes me happy to see that the sizzix dies (all) work! I know that the cuttle bug co. is coming out with long clear plates that will fit the cuttle bug but don't know when! Can't wait and thank you so very much for your video!

  • hmmm just had my son get me the big shot for Christmas because i didnt think the cuttle bug would work with some of the sizzix dies....now i have both :(

  • Thanks for sharing! I own a cuttlebug and have wondered about cutting chipboard in it with the sizzix dies. Do you know if all of the sizzix dies fit in the cuttlebug and have you tried the embossing folders by sizzix in the cuttlebug? I'm getting an expression for xmas and was wanting to cut chipboard with it. Have you cut the thicker chipboard with your cricut? -Leslie

  • All the Sissix products fit in the cuttlebug. The X-LG cutting plates don't but as I showed in my video you can use the Cuttlebug B plates. The sizzix embossing folders are almost identical to the cuttlebugs ones. The texture plates from Sizzix work fine. I have heard you shouldn't cut anything too thick with the cricut. cereal boxes or light weight chipboard. I haven't tried it yet. I'll let you know!

  • Now, I want to see your chipboard shapes once you have them all cut out.

  • Great tutorial - how easy to make minis!!! Brilliant :o) TFS x

  • Dont we all learn by experimenting and doing it the wrong way... LOL. The best new creative ideas come from doing things wrong and getting great results. Thanks again for doing this tutorial.

  • Great tutorial. 6 papers at once is a excellent tip. Also using the smaller cutting mat on the xl die is a good idea. Thanks for showing us these tips and instructions.

  • The XL cutting mats from Sizzix don't fit in the cuttlebug so you have to use your B plates but it works just fine!

  • Yes the finish side of paper face the die... what I have read is this is what you do for all dies. great tutorial... loved the six layers.

  • I thought so - I always learn by doing it wroing the first time! LOL ! Thank you for confirming for me!

  • Hi Amy, What make is the long bracket die that you demonstrated and where did you get it? Thanks for your help!

  • Amy this is great for all the Cuttlebug owners to know! I don't have one but boy would I be happy if I did and knew I could do this! I have a Big shot so I can use that!

  • Omg i have just recently found ur channel and i just wanted to say u have abs. inspired me to start scrapbooking... i abs. LOVE your video's..

I have so much questions to ask ...

but i dont think this would be a big enough amount of characters to ask what i have too.. hahaha

but i do have one question i can ask now..

what is cardstock used for ?? .. maybe..if you dont already have a vid on it.. show different ways that you can use it.

  • Cardstock is the most used item a scrapbooker can have. It can be used as a base for cards, base for scrapbook layout, used to make embellishments and shapes, you can use it to make pockets, cover chipboard, make tags. It is colored paper that is heavier duty. I would say 98% of all projects in scrapbooking will use cardstock! It si a great place to start!
