What I don't like about the n64 version is that they edited out some background sounds, like for instance the dolphins echo soundswaves's and the waterfall. Also the background graphics are smaller and pale looking. What I mean is that places like Mexico Germany China the moutains are almost the same size as you vehicle. That doesn't make sense. I guess there wasn't enough space to adjust it to the proper size.

quite possibly. there may be some slowness/stuttering. it all depends on how fast your PC is, but you shouldn't have too much of a slowdown. :]

Hey eVoluci0n do you know if theres a way to play this using a controller? If I slightly press right on my controller my car turns all the way to the right, same thing when I try to turn left, making it really hard to control.

I believe it's possible, although you have to make sure you enable your controller through the game options. Once you do that make sure you run the configuration test when the game first runs. :]

You can't, unless you want to play the game without being able to drive lol. Calibrating the controls are necessary for proper game movement, if not your car will just end up going all over the place. Trust me, I've tried. :-)

I used to have this game on N64.

I still have the actual cartridge and N64. Only thing I didn't like was the FPS was nothing compared to the arcade, and they took out some great features, like road kill lol

They were going to put the road kill feature in the game but Nintendo didnt want this game to be rated T for Teen. Also the car you chose in the video is missing the black top and looks more like a sedan in the N64 version. I didnt notice a change in FPS when I had this game.

I changed the color of the car so it looks different. I wanted to do a different car every race, but then I'd have to race the entire game again just to get to Florida.

Also, this game is rated G in the arcade, even with the roadkill. I think Nintendo is just lame, they want everything to be peaceful. This isn't a fairy tale lol.

If you play the N64 version it's just much slower at everything compared to arcade. Cruis'n USA seemed much faster.

Correct. I use the keyboard and it plays fine. You just have to learn how to adjust your turns correctly.

MAME is the only program that will run Cruis'n, which is what I use.
