I think its to depict weeping seeing as they show them while the singer is singing about "naleh kardan" (weeping).

he says "naleh asp'est" which means "the horses are neighing"

the whole song is a descripton of a warrior going to war; the first part is the warrior preparing "karto biyar" which means "bring my sword" and the second part is the actual war where he is actually fightig and hears the sounds of horses neighing and gun fire
