To the Irish community please vote for Barack Obama. Even people here in Ireland have been talking a lot about Americas election and most people are rutting for Obama he is a man that can help make change and is evacuated on foreign policy. He will build great relations with other country's. why do i care you might ask i am not from America, well this man will not just bring change to America but too the world.A real leader who will bring respect back to its country that Bush took away.
People don't care what you know , till they know how much you care Barack Obama is a man who cares. Not in my years have i seen a man with such girts. I think he really wants to help the people i think he will make change in the world that we have not seen in history he will go down in history as a great man with a warm hart and leader not for him self but for the people. i am form Ireland and live in Ireland and i can see this i hope ye the American people can see it too...
I read a Clinton supporter from New Mexico who is Latino stated that she will now vote for McCain since Clinton was no longer in the race. I hope she know that the Latinos in New Mexico helped Bush win New Mexico in '04. He told the Latinos enough lies to help him win NM. He promised anmesty and other rights that were never received & in fact 3 months later said he would build a fence around the Mexico border.
Latinos marched all over the country in protest. But she's willing to do it again
Bullshit. The numbers are all based on women working less. Skew the numbers enough and you can prove anything. Sure, there are exceptions, but generally, BULLSHIT.
Don't know where IdleGod lives, but women have always made less, doing the same types of jobs men do. I know, I am woman and have had co-workers, who were men, who got higher salary for the same position. The corporate reasoning was based on a stupid reason: men are head of the family and breadwinners. There are millions of single-family female head of households today.
The problem with single-family females is they aren't at work as much as men. I am a woman, and was a single mom for years, and even now with a husband I am the one who leaves work to deal with sick kids, school issues, dr. appointments, and so on. Why should I be given the same pay as someone who doesn't take as much time off? Someone who can come in earlier or stay later on a moments notice?
myspace/historiecg obama "make change not war" tee's comin real soon fye graphic make sure u have one. best political tee's u eva saw check it out... more updates soon also
Mr Obama you are about the common people, because you have been there, done that too. It amazes me how others condemn you when you talk about doing good things for the people. I know you will soon choose your veep, just make sure this person has done things for their own state in the past. If not, how can they do for a country? I plan to donate to your campaign when my money comes first of next month. Won't be much, I don't get much..but you I believe, are a good investment for America :)
TheNak3dTruth: Have you not listened to any of Obama's speeches? They all have to do with policies. His economic policies are to reverse Bush's tax cuts for the rich and give all Americans making 150,000 or less a thousand dollar tax cuts, his foreign policy is to strengthen our foreign alliances and a time-table for withdrawal in Iraq to divert resources to afghanistan to defeat taliban and capture bin laden. I'm sick of people saying that he doesnt talk about issues when that's all he do.
Study after study show that women aren't paid less for doing the 'same' job with comparable experience. Yes, women on average make less than men. It is because they choose lower paying professions, work fewer hours and usually take time off to start a family. The fewer hours are usually because of family obligations as well. Should a man or woman get their pay reduced to compensate an individual who chooses to work less?
Well, President George W. Bush is the very first President to hold a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Even better (or worse, depending on your perspective), his MBA is from Harvard Business School. So the 'dummy' accusation does not apply.
The 2nd is not an accomplishment. It just means he's well liked by his party's peers. 3rd what you really mean is that he was a a street activist. Much like the Rev. J.
Well, thanks to you I have now decided because you have just proved my point.
It has been proven that Bush has the lowest IQ of any President in the History of America and now we know why the Country ahd our people has suffered under his adminstration.
you dont have to vote for obama, vote for macain, then the rich will be more richer and poor will be more poorer. Then hope for 1 or 2 wars before 2012, good luck.
In human history, very few times and very few people rise up from no where to represent and make difference to the well being of common man.
In a world hungry for a CHANGE, Obama defies all odds, discrediting the corrupt career professional politicians & the profiteers of the military industrial complex, while proving to the ordinary man that there's a better alternatives to fear, war, death and destruction.
Any wonder the man is being received as a new Messiah, every where in the world.
Obama supporters, make sure you know your numbers. Never waste an opportunity to remind an undecided, or a McCain supporter, that 95% of Americans will get a bigger tax cut from Obama than from McCain.
On the contrary, the top 5% (millionaires and above) will get a much bigger tax cut from McBush.
So when a Republican says he's voting his pocketbook, remind him that unless he's a multimillionaire, voting your pocketbook means voting Obama!
This is great in this setting; he will need to parse the message down to reach the masses. I'm sure he will do that. Comparing Obama to McCain it's not even close. Obama is clearly the best candidate. If he doesn't win this election it will be a sad day and sad future for the United States.
I am truly inspired by such a man who rose against all odds to attend Harvard University. I believe that Barack Obama, a true educated citizen, is the only possible choice as president.
Do you think that a child hood like this better prepared Mr Obama to understand the trials of ordinary folks than growing up as the son of an Admiral? Do you think that Mr McCain knew what being hungry, cold, less well dressed than his classmates felt like when he was growing up, his true character forming years?
In November I will remember. Remember those that have influenced Mr. Obama in his "character forming years". Reverend Wright, Bill Ayers, Tony Rezko, Michael Pfleger, James Meeks and on and on and on and on!
theres other important things you should remember for the november election: Obama has Gods approval, most womem, most blacks, most whites and me! the playing field is open to him! so get over it! he's got your interest at heart!stop being a player hater! you will age too fast!
Obama is going to have to talk insound bites to get his message out there. i understood it but the low informationed will not...it goes right over thier heads and they still complain that they know nothing of what Obama is about.
I hope this country will wake up and see that this man has gone thu what so many of us have. He knows the making under 5 million dollars being rich is a stupid answer. I know that now women have to go to work or children will starve. John McCain has 9 homes none under a million dollars. How can he know what it means to be poor.
Why hasn't anyone asked John McCain about the "Keating 5"? He needs to be truthful to the American people about this!
I can't understand for the life of me why any woman would want to vote for John Mccain

Anyone who thinks Obama is sexist or doesn't care about women's issues is not paying attention.
Anyone who votes for John McCain and think he has women's issue is mind is also not paying attention.
Especially after watching this heartfelt speech about the experiences of the women in his life.

Some great dog you have!
Passing bipartisan legislation, restoring hope for impoverished Chicago families?
Some dog!
BTW, I do not care about George W. Bush. He's history!
I care about EQUAL PAY and EQUALITY OF CHANCES!
OBAMA '08 and '12 (or your dog if he is equally qualified as you claim)

I'm undecided, so can someone specifically list 3 accomplishments of Obama that qualify him to become President of the U.S.?

2-
3-

REPLY: rightcoastthinker
First of all I dont believe you are undecided. However, I will list three accomplishments that matter to me.
1. He graduated near the top of his class at Harvard Law School and was the editor of law review. (I am tired of having a dummy as my president)
2. As a freshman senator he gained the respect of his colleagues in a short period of time. (Passing bipartisan bills)
3. He worked as an organizer after college. By doing this he showed me his commitment to others.
