I remember seeing L&TP play live at the Hancock Shopping Center in Austin. My good friend Bobby's oldest sister Darlette was dating the drummer, Bill Powell. I thought it was so cool that I had this indirect connection to the band - still do. Halcyon days. Austin was a great place to live in the 60's.
just wanted to let you guys know Danny Hickman, the guitarist in Leo and the Prophets passed away on July 15, 2010 in his sleep... he was a excellent guitar player and friend.... :(
Great tune. Kinda like a Seeds song with somebody messing with the tempo. Sounds like these guys had fun while it was recorded, which adds to my fun listening...way too groovy, thanks....
I think the bass player was Rod "Rajaman" Haywood... played with some of the best classic Austin bands back in the 60-70-80's - part of what created the scene then. Cool scene then. Heard him with Southside Band at Rome Inn, AusTex, Split Rail, Continental. Now that was one hell of a band! Daze gone by...

Wow. This is an old favourite of mine but it's definitely a different recording than the one I have on Nuggets Volume 10. Anyone know why?

There was a song called "Parking Meter" on the flip side of this Totem label single.
