This game is really fun. I wanna play it again but last time I loaded it on my computer there was no sound i guess i would have to fix that. This game was kinda like Rune.
I don't know what game your talking about but the Rune I played was a game just like this but with just one person to use. The game play was almost the same but the graphics just wasn't as good cause it was an older game.
You can change the sound options in the setup untill the sound works fine. I think this game is better than rune because this game is all about locked on combat which is all about combo's. In Rune nobody can block (or can they?), which i think makes a HUEG difference.
I know it's an old comment, but there is similar game for this generation: "Demon's Souls" for the PS3. It has the same kind of combat and dark atmosphere, but adds magic and customizable stats.
@Gumbo550 from watching 10 mins of this i'd say this is similar to elder scrolls 4 oblivion thats decently modern and a new elder scrolls is coming out soon too
yes but then there would have been severance 2, 3, 4, severance DS and severance extreme 360 and they all would have been shitty mainstream games and less bloody. im happy that BoD is some.. "secret gem" ;)
This game is among my top three favorites. I've played it so many times and enjoyed each one of them. The knight is the best, the amazon is too easy to play with, the barbarian is a challenge, and the dwarf is for hardcore masochistic players and also two of his weapons are bugged and his combos are almost one and a same. But the game has amazing atmosphere. It's what every fantasy game should be. And the end location is awesome!
about sequel..i talked to codemaster service center and they told me that they din get much response as expected. it took 5 years to develop the game but sell was horrible and after that rebel act company compelled to split..sad news..:(
Damn, i loved this game. The combat was so visceral and deep, there was a big combo list for every melee weapon, and i would play it again just to see the character specific weapons in use (e.g the staff)
in order to use the dodge combos you must use jump+left or right and immediately after the dodge press attack... it`s very easy... the hardest part is to actually understand what that arrow means at the movement list ( the one that leaves a trail behind )
Great but hard game :) I just started playing it .

uhm?! rune is a shitty arcade game where u have to hit one button as fsat as you can and you charakter kills all opponents.
BoD has the best 3d-melee combat system ever seen in a video game. not THAT kinda rune..

@sacrisesma funny that you mention it, I actually bought demon's souls a week ago and it is indeed amazing
just wish it had a solid multiplayer mode, since its hard and complicated to play with a friend as it is

this game and gothic 1 are out in the same year 2001. and this game have WAY better grapchics. btw barbarian is my favorite unit.
