@MightyBroomOfJustice English? its mixed. You have Northern Irish and Welsh cap badges in it two. They were actually playing Killaloe quick march of the Royal Irish Regiment (although it does sound better on the pipes) Flute bands are very popular(as too are pipes and accordion bands) in Northern Ireland and we like the English as much as the Scots do
I'm from the Judd School CCF RAF Contingent (2nd best in the UK) :D and being able to take part in this was awesome :D shame we couldnt bring along everyone so only the air squadron trophy went :) buckingham palace was a massive rave and the sandwiches rocked lol
haha that ws us shouting "yoo" in the middle of the killaloe because its a royal irish rangers song and we had permission and stuff so we got the cadets from other countrys that wer marchin with us to do it to ws good i liked it well done guys haha acf r the best al the rest of yas r shit yas lookd lik mongs..!
I was there, in the air cadet contingent in the band. AMAZING!!!!! We were told not to stop playing when the Red Arrows went over. Not going to happen, we're Air Cadets. Buckingham Palace wasn't too shabby either
Magic. Did something similar when I was their age. When we marched past I was so overcome with emotion. Even though my arms and legs were aching I felt thrilled, overjoyed and in awe. I was so ecstatic. I'll never forget it. Being a cadet never leaves you. As a nation I feel we should do this more often - celebrate our youth, celebrate their achievements and celebrate our Armed Forces. Perhaps make it compulsory for young people at school and university to attend. Make it part of the curriculum.
i was there too and attended the garden party as a guest of my daughter. You were a credit to every person there - i have never felt so proud of our young people as I did yesterday. Well done to you all you made it a very special day for me - thank you
i was in the A.C.F Corps of Drums towards the back ranks, and im not going to say we were the best as its not about that, everyone was brilliant and it was a day to remember.... i felt soo proud walking down the Mall, and into the Palace, thats what it is all about. (:
Front left marker of the ATC banner escort :) thats me
I also got to be in the guard of honour but i was at the back rank in the second file of that when we were formed up in the garden. Awesome day, loved the red arrows fly over
Hi and thanks for putting this on. do you know if there is any way i can get this on dvd, or some other player for personal use, as my partners son is in it (air cadet band) and their video footage didnt come out.
Thank you for whoever had uploaded this video. I could not make the parade and it was nice to see the event. All of the people who took part, well done. You did us proud.
This is awesome!! im in this too! RAF CCF :D Btw can anyone tell me what the peices of music the pipes and drums were playing please...specially the first one. I know they played Scotland the brave...would love to know the names of them...
I WAS IN THAT BAND !!!IM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GLOCKENSPEIL SECTION m the black glock but its not an upright like the rest of them mine is like a really heavy metal keyboard lol i met prince charles and camilla that day !!! best day EVER

Thanks for this - my cousins were in pipe band from scotland and we unfortunately were unable to attend even though we live in London!! - brilliant to see!!!!
Does anyone know the names of the peices of music played by the pipes and drums please...the peice that is played first is sooo good and i i cant remember the name....! cant beleive i actually took part in this today!!! best day ever!!!!

If you look, I am part of the Sea Cadet band. I am in the 2nd rank of snare drummers from the front and 3 in from the far end :)
It was an amazing day and enjoyed the Royal Garden Party. The training was very hard although well all managed and got on with it for the event.
A big thank you to all the cadets in the Royal Review, especially the band members of the forces.

For whoever's interested, the 6/8 Marches the Massed Cadet Pipe Band are playing from the beginning on the clip are:-
The Steam Boat (aka The Hills of Caithness)
The Bugle Horn
Bonnie Dundee
Queen Elizabeth's March (The Queen Mother)
JamesWGray 1 year ago
@PSP123smo its one of the 6/8s not sure which 1 u mean but its either steam boat, bonnie dundee or bugle horn...
