Diablo 3 Music - Act 1: The Forsaken Cemetery

that's just generic soundtrack music like any other, whats good for WoW doesn't mean its good enough for Diablo... I'm fairly disappointed its like Fallout music without Mark Morgan (which was tragic) ... just hire Uelmen and save this for something else... 6 and a half minutes and if you'd ask me what I remember of this song.. and that's the point It has no vibrant atmosphere, dark creepy feel, vivid rhytmics that makes your heart pound faster is what I expect and want to be delivered...

It'll probably be really good once the atmosphere of the game takes hold. Even though I quite like the music from D1 and D2, this has great potential as well! :-)

Matt Uelman is really a hugely unheralded and underrated musician. The tristram theme is such a great piece of music if only people would disregard the fact that it's from a computer game and just see it as a great piece of music.

@iamthewizard2 hey i just give u my opinion bout this, so Diablo 1 and Diablo 2 had awesome soundtracks, but only some of them were really epic, Tristram, Harrogath etc BUT it had some shitty ones to or just bad ones like the desert ones, i think this song that plays in the video isnt good BUT maybe there some Epic ones to, Blizz confirmed that Tristram ( the music ) will return in D3 so that epic feeling we will get back ;DD

D2 music was very memorable. the music played itself in my head night after night. even if i didnt play the game for 5 years i would still remember the basic beat. this D3 music on the otherhand....hardly memorable at all. im not saying it's bad....just not the sort of music i'd expect for a diablo game.

@harrisonkroeker i decided to look a piece of D2 music that i coulnt remember well...so i started searching the Diablo 2 Wilderness track. it instantly gave me tingles on my back in the first minute. if a piece of music can do that you it must be good. the thing is it's not only about remembering a sound but how it makes u feel when listening to it. i listened to this track from start to finish for the whole 6 minutes and not once was i inspired.

This is one of those very low-key, very dreary, very ambient, and very ominous scores. If this is the first video you're watching, check out the others (more to come of Act 1 music!). I also like the screenshot mashup -- it was all relevant (gameplay from the Cemetery) and the concept art was great. Can't wait for the next couple of videos!
