im guessing 2013 is peak oil and about 1 or 2 years after it (when gas is already 7-15$ a gallon and food is up and even more people are unemployed and you know with the EU about to collapse and about 5 major european countries about to have economic collapse) about 2014 or 2015 is when shit hits the fan, the world goes to hell, and an inevitable resource war, which will turn into ww3 will be the final stroke
fuck i reckon its really hard to say what will happen and when. I thought that the oil would have peaked well by now and change would occur, i said this two years ago. Who knows how many technologies are being suppressed...
@mquiroz90 The problem is that oil is so damn useful. Nothing is remotely as useful as oil. Gas and coal have their uses but aren't even in the same league as oil. Oil can be used for so many things, if humanity starts using renewables it will have to use so many different kinds of renewables at such huge costs to make up for what oil did all by itself. Even if the world doesn't end things are going to become much, much harder. Especially with an exponentially increasing population.
@mquiroz90 Perhaps...but you can't use wind and solar power as fertiliser to grow crops. Even if you cover the electrical issue, world agriculture without petroleum based fertiliser will have far, far lower crop yields and far less productive harvests. Which means food prices go way up and the world starts to starve. In the end, food and water is more important than electricity, and people will loot, riot and kill for something to eat or drink if they're starving.
@Standuble will i dont think its true wat ur saying but we will aways have food in different ways as u cant imagine i know wats best for us all i know is that solar will be around us fossil fuels be more exhausted by 2016 we will have almost millions of vehicles run on solar and fuel cells and hydrogen there u have it dont worry about bad things ok it wont happen think of great things like this is nice believe it wen u see it done talking (end transmission )
I think our only hope is solar power. It's been doubling in production for many years, and looks set to continue doubling for many more. It will soon become cost competitive with fossil fuels, so this exponential growth will continue. By 2025 it's possible that a large portion of global energy will come from solar - the stat mentioned in the video is wrong (i.e. only 1% by 2030). One thing's for sure, though, we'll have to go through enormous disruption and economic turmoil before that happens.
Even the IEA admits we are past peak oil. At this point you either get it or you don't. For the folks who don't get it, keep smoking whatever it is you're smoking. If you were to awaken now, it might be too much of a shock to your system.
@petrocalypsenow I think it really doesn't matter whether people know peak oil or not. It's too late to do anything about it. That car with the sails is probably the best idea we got so far! rofl. Everybody learn how to sail.
But solar and wind would have great potential if the terror regime wouldn't use all the money for new murder machines and the psychopathic casino players that gamble with CDS.
Renewables (solar, wind, AND geothermia AND waves AND tides AND rivers AND...) are big enough to be the main source of energy if serious efforts to scaling AND to energy efficiency are made. AND braindead consumism has to stop.
Good vid but the suppressed truth of it all oil is renewed constantly and those so called empty fields are 80 to 90% filled up again (its a long story) Also oil can be found almost anywhere. This oil peak is just propaganda put out by the elite for a bunch of different reasons but the main one is to keep their strangle hold on us.
Just found your channel bro. I really dig all your work. I have been paying attention to all the madness for a long while and consequently I realized that I must devise a plan in order to secure my future. I will be buying a large piece of land somewhere in the tropics. Solar panels, fresh spring water and hundreds of various fruit trees. I backpacked through central America and feel assured that life in the tropics is my saving grace.
I'm not exactly sure what country ill be buying my land in. Further research must be done to get a clear destination in mind. I'm looking for a few intelligent individuals who might be interested in buying land near my land so that we can help each other out when needed. What are your plans for the future?
@Trigger2O12 --- I do not advocate leaving your home country. If you live in the United States, it is better to stay there than move to a foreign country and be the broke Gringo when a Depression or currency crisis leaves you high and dry. It would be much better to move to south Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia where the climate is mild, rainfall is plenty and you have plenty of fertile farmland. Plus with a mild climate, you can grow crops in the winter since snowfall is rare
@PaulRevere2012 green can save us u know were going to a world we can live better be better we dont need peak oil or fossil fuels its making it bad oil gas should be gone bring out the better energy we need its alot better sure hope it makes some changes in 2012 to 2014 first
@lordhasen If 13% of the world energy supply came from biomass in 2008 then other crops were sacraficed like wheat, corn, sugar cane. If that happened then the prices of these commodities would have sky rocketed in price and I mean sky rocketed. The level of biomass producton at best will only make up 5% of the world's energy needs and that is with a massive orchestrated effort by Governments all over the world. This can only be done to the sacrafice of much higher food prices. Sources please ?
Respond to this video... Your claim that 13% of the world's energy came from biomass fuels is incorrect. It couldn't have happened. It defies logic. Have you any idea how much biomass would be needed to supply 13% of the world's energy needs ? Besides, the energy that goes into planting, harvesting, processing and distributing this biomass enegy renders it almost energy neutral.
Rather than threaten people, why not talk about positive and constructive solutions such as the Transition Towns movement and Permaculture movements? Community is the answer - not violence.

Price of Oil setting aside how much it costs to fuel up your vehicle heating your house with it. When the supplies get ahead of demand PEAK OIL is what it is called. There is a one way solution H20 or fusuion is what could be the solution. Has anyone played Frontlines: Fuel of War? It's based on what will happen when oil supplies surpasses demand for oil. So if it happens then there is big trouble upon the world. Inconcievable that the world will be vulnerable on resource based wars.
PaulRevere2012, your videos are superior. Your messages and mix of music are awesome. Some facts.
- Oil is a finite resource. We will peak. Many predict within the next few years.
- World economies and many jobs are based upon oil

- Wars are fought over energy supplies

Sorry but peak oil happened years ago. Anyone in the industry will tell you that. Hubberts Peak. check out the website if you doubt it. Also, if you don't think it's happened already, explain the rise in oil prices in the last few years, and why the US is all over the middle east like it is? The rise in prices happened because everyone knows about peak oil. Hubbert (a Shell engineer) predicted it a loooooong time ago, and it happened just like he said.
I agree that alterantive energy is being supressed on purpose. It is because the dollar is a fiat currency based on oil. We have the means to change to algea based ethanol easily without affecting food, land use or existing infastructure. The delay is how to do this without collapsing the dollar in the middle of a historic, severe world wide economic collapse. I am not sure how much longer we have but I would suggest being prepared: water, food, shelter, defense. It will be messy.
This is assuming that population is current or keeps on increasing. If a major plaque is spread or WWIII, peak oil may not be as bad, or maybe it will?
Price will drive efficiency and look for alternatives - don't panic. Let the free market work IF IF IF this is the case. I say IF because when environmentalists talk like this it is usually a preface for a demand for govt control or a "there ought to be a law" sermon.
wow, that's sobering... people are actually legitimizing that the only thing that's going to cause any notable change in the profile is- '...as soon as the scarcity meme gets going, things will change very rapidly.' Why do people do this?!
